Jade's of Paris Restaurant — Restaurant in Ontario

Went in last night at 8:25pm with a party of 5, 3 adults and 2 children. The place was pretty dirty but it was the end of the night. Table and cups were sticky. The waitress was really nice but the whole table of teens that work there just sitting around, being loud, and talking about questionable things was a little much, especially because I had two children there under 12. One girl yelled “suck it” and when I looked at her she just stared back instead of apologizing, even though the waitress told her it wasn’t ok. Anyways when it comes to food the portions are huge but I must have missed something with the taste because I can’t agree with previous reviews..I found the food to be disgusting and couldn’t eat any of it. I bought three different entrees to split between me and my kids and try everything. Rice was dry and tasteless, noodles were old and sticky with some strange sauce on them, chicken balls were ok but sauce just thrown on plate missed halve of them, lemon chicken tasted like pie filling on pale thin fillets, soggy dark brown egg rolls and soggy inside.... I could go on. I couldn’t eat and only one person at the table liked their meal. I was also only offered the tax off or 10% not even a full meal. I was told sorry but it’s the end of the night so maybe that’s why. I paid 60 bucks to eat nothing and throw out the take out I left with. Will...

We were traveling through Paris and had lunch Jade’s of Paris today, based on positive on-line reviews. The Chinese food was excellent with extremely generous portions at very reasonable prices. We were greeted by a lovely lady and served by the owner’s daughter who was absolutely charming. She made great suggestions about the luncheon menu and also gave us some very helpful tips on things to see in Paris Ontario. Service was excellent and our food arrived piping hot and very quickly.The owner came to our table to make sure that we were pleased with our meal. He was super friendly and told us about the restaurant and his family. Currently the street adjacent to the restaurant is under re-construction but access to Jade’s of Paris is not a problem. I am sure that the construction has hurt all the local businesses and I would really encourage both visitors and locals to support Jade’s of Paris and the great family that own and operate this wonderful restaurant. You will not be disappointed! My only regret is that this restaurant is not closer to our home in North Bay as I would be a regular customer. Thank you for a exceptional experience. A fantastic very reasonable place to eat. Been going here for over 30 years and never a bad meal. - that was posted over a year ago.......things have greatly changed. Food is still very good but the servers are some of the worst I have experienced. Both young ladies were more worried about having a Wednesday off together and 'OMG it's payday, I'm so excited!!'. Lack maturity and respect for paying customers. Take out containers were always done by the other crew. Not the new team!! Last 2 times have been identical. I let the older fellow (believe it was owner) know how his front end staff is doing. Needless to say we will not be returning. Absolutely clueless wait staff. Increase in minimum wage yet a gigantic decrease in work ethic. They should be fired on the spot and get some new people. Maybe have a walk up window and let the customers get their own food. It wouldn't be much different. Absolutely a shame but I guess times...
