It was my first time trying this sushi restaurant as I heard many good things about this place but was disappointed with my overall experience. My boyfriend and I decided to order takeout by calling in but were left with an automated voicemail telling us we had to place our order online. The online ordering service was quite simple and easy to use, but they do charge a service fee. My boyfriend decided to order the golden dragon rolls and I ordered the tempura salmon & BBQ eel maki. Upon placing our order, we were told our order would be ready in 30-40 minutes which I thought was absurd for 4 rolls (turns out they were super busy which is understandable now). When we finally arrived and wanted to pick up our order, we had a difficult time as there was no parking. We circled around the area multiple times before finding a spot beside O Maggio’s Kildare House 10 minutes later. The food itself was not bad. I genuinely enjoyed the tempura salmon maki as the tempura was crispy with a crunch. The BBQ eel was surprisingly a letdown. Two out of the sushi pieces were just filled with cucumbers (the pieces on the right). The taste wasn’t as good compared to other sushi places I have been to as well. Even after finishing the 2 rolls, I was still left feeling hungry. Overall, I think this was just a miss for me and my boyfriend and we will not be returning to this establishment as regular patrons.

Stopped in for lunch while we were in town shopping for the day & decided to go here because we LOVE the La Salle location so we wanted to give this one a go! The food was so great as always but the wait time here was a lot longer then expected. It wasn’t busy so I’m not sure if it was just an off day or what. This location is always super small too. So if you want to dine in I would recommend calling ahead if it’s peak lunch/dinner hours. Our waitress was SO great & made the experience wonderful, especially for my husband who has never been here before & was having a hard time finding something he’d like. That said, if the person you’re dining with doesn’t love sushi & they rely on other menu items to get their fill while you have sushi I would recommend something else. They only have a handful of items that aren’t sushi/seafood related so it’s hard to fill up. (My husband was pre warned about this but he wanted to come anyways 😅) Moving on to their dessert!!! ABSOLUTELY save room for dessert when eating here!!! They have deep fried Twinkie’s & Cheesecake! Which are just to DIE FOR!!! The Twinkie’s come with your choice of topping chocolate, strawberries Or caramel & I definitely recommend getting them all!! & the cheesecake is just AMAZING. The tempura is so crunchy and delicious. It reminds me of funnel cake almost. Absolutely a must try.

I believe this was an excellent experience. Costly. If you want all you can eat your whole table must as well. I think they had some very unique combinations, some better than others. The Za was the single most polarizing from the table. I love pizza and so I really enjoyed it, but I was the only one at the table who did due to its unusual nature in sushi. Chicken and Waffles is incredible. Spicy Chicken was unreal. There were a few others with names I have since forgotten that were likewise incredible. So while it may not have found its way to my favourite sushi bar, it is definitely a place I'd hope to return to one day for more. Great work! For the atmosphere, the space was clean and had a contemporary look. However it looked a bit sparse and empty to the minimalist decor, the white walls, the tall ceilings made it feel more empty and the dim lighting made everything seem a bit drab and grey. If they changed the lights to be less white and more yellow, that would completely change the dynamic and fix the atmospheric issue I felt, and I think white walls are a mistake as white is a passionless colour more suited to a spa. Some colour would push in the space and make it more intimate and warm. All in all, a great place to go, try it out.

OKAY YA’LL - for starters I want to say our waitress was very nice and tried her best!! We loved her and also tipped her regardless of our experience 🙏 with that being said WORST sushi in Windsor. When my girlfriend and I first got there she went to the bathroom and came back Completely disgusted to the point where she didn’t think she could eat. I than went down to see what the fuss was about and my god - the smell was HORRID, the floors were so slippery I almost fell three times, the bathroom had pee all over the seat and floor, and I couldn’t even see my reflection in the mirror, flys were everywhere including the entrance to the kitchen upstairs, there was also a random couch down there with a bunch of stains that made the whole downstairs Atmosphere even worse. Once we decided to stay (because our waitress was so kind) we began to eat. The Cheese wontons were the only good thing. Everything else was VERY VERY disgusting and oddly warm. I do want to mention KONA sushi is our go to and favourite but we’ve only ever gone to the lasalle location on Malden (never had this type of experience) . This time we just wanted to try it at a different location thinking it would be similar plus we were on that end of town. During our meal we had one of our tables taken away since a group came in which made it difficult putting all our rolls together on one small table afterwards but we tried our best to understand and not have it ruin our meal. The rest of our rolls we didn’t finish - thank god we were not charged for them ( god bless our waitress). ALSO - the for cooks were talking very loudly about their personal lives and swearing when Children were inside. Needless to say my girlfriend has been throwing up all night/ never going back and do not recommend anyone to try...

Went for the first time recently with my wife. It's a small location with only a couple of tables. The atmosphere is a dimly lit one. We waited a bit for our table, then were seated at the back which is close to the rear door. After about 10 min both of us were uncomfortably cold. We asked for the all-u-can eat menu and were given a list to choose appetizers and main courses. Our appetizers showed up in a couple min, but the main courses didn't come. After 15 min of waiting, we asked the waitress and she came back a couple min later saying there was a mix up. She offered to make up for it with drinks/dessert. Finally the main course showed up. The Firecracker rolls are great, as were the Philly Cheese steak rolls. We tried a couple other rolls, the waitress suggested one of their new rolls "surf & turf" and we asked for it, but that was a big mistake, gave us both instant heartburn from the spicy garlic . After having being there for more than an hour (where the great majority of time was spent waiting) we were both extremely uncomfortable from the constant cold draft. I don't understand why restaurants don't place portable heaters in the winter in front of tables close to doors. Do you really want your customers to be uncomfortable? They also had some interesting dessert rolls so we ordered one, but again, another 10-15 min of waiting and nothing showed up, so we payed and left with no dessert on the horizon. Also no drink or dessert on the house as promised. There were only 6 tables so we didn't understand all the issues with service.

In summary, this is a small sushi joint with a couple of good rolls on their menu, but I would just order for delivery or take-out, as the service left much...

Absolutely terrible experience. Mona was offering a promotion where if you spent a certain amount of money you got a free specialty roll. As a vegetarian I had only ordered veggie rolls and when it had arrived I had 1 of my veggie rolls boxed separately and the speciality roll touching my other veggies rolls I had ordered which had fish right on top. I was upset about this because I didn’t understand why they couldn’t put all of my vegetable rolls together and the one with fish in the separate box it made no sense especially because I wasn’t aware I was going to be getting this extra roll until I brought it home , i was going to just disregard this situation because I know sometimes things happen and I was okay with just eating the one roll that was boxed separately and my friends had said they would eat the stuff in the other container PROBLEM SOLVED NO WORRIES until I went to eat my ONLY veggie roll and there was hair on the first piece I picked up so at this point I was upset and called the restaurant, right away I asked if I could speak to the manager and they said he was no around and could call me on his cellphone if it was “that important “ I explained what happened and I was completely blown away by the fact I NOT ONCE receive any type of apology or even offered a refund , all the girl said was “I can take ur name and number down and have my manager call you back” when In all reality I explained the situation to her and I’m sure someone would’ve been able to resolve this issue That day. Absolutely terrible and wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there , it’s sad because Kona used to be the only...
