On Jul 26, 2025, at 9 pm, we were vacationing and decided to order take out and eat at the hotel. Me and my 2 daughters (25 and 10 y.o.)
Extremely non-friendly staff.
The welcome boy got very confused as soon as he heard take out...no smile... nothing...but it was OK, I thought... maybe he was tired. No big deal.
Things got worse at the bar where he sent us to order. The waitress at the bar again didn't show us any polite behavior, but she was nicely smiling and talking to the man who was drinking at the bar.
She took the order with the attitude like we were really bothering her with it.
We asked for non-spicy sauce for the ribs for my 10 y.o. 5 minutes later she returned and said : we ran out of rods order something else (again no, "I am sorry we ran out of ribs. Can you please choose something else"? Her exact wording was as I wrote above. So my 10y.o. chose the cheeseburger from the children's menu. Also, she was trying to order slushy, but the waitress said that they didn't have cups to take out.
Meanwhile, we waited just through the payment machine at us with no words. At this point, we paid and left a 9% tip even though I think it's too much for this kind of behavior towards your customer.
When our food was ready, the manager just dropped the bag on the counter with no wording.
We went to the hotel to find out that they didn't give us any utensils!
Regarding the food.
The sandwich with brisket was good.
My salad with chicken was good, but I wouldn't expect just regular grilled chicken to be soo spicy.
KIDS MENU Cheeseburger was EXTREMELY SPICY! My child was not able to eat it, neither was I. I have never seen any restaurants with spicy food on the kids' menu. I don't know what the person who was making it was thinking.

They were closing at 10pm and we arrived and were seated at 9pm. I know an hour may seem like a lot of time to eat for some people but I personally don’t think it is considering Montana’s is an actual dine-in, sit down for a meal restaurant. Our lovely waitress Angela as well as the other staff working at that time were so lovely even though we arrived so late. They still provided excellent service and never once made it seem like they weren’t happy for us being there. I’ve always really enjoyed Montana’s but I go more often now that I live in Kingston and Division St is usually my go-to. Always great service and the staff are friendly and helpful. The staff make recommendations if you request, always try to accommodate what you want to the best of their ability and are just all around very welcoming people. I really enjoy their food and menu options as well as their deals they have for certain days of the week that you can look at on the website prior to going or see it displayed on the menus while there. It’s also nice that the staff will tell you about their deals they have going on that day which I find helps me make up my mind on what to eat sometimes and how to get a deal☺️ I think they have really good quality food and good portions for what you pay. I just think that if the environment and food is great at a restaurant, I’m definitely more inclined to go and actually add it to my mental list of personal preference for places to go. I also never shy away from giving others my personal recommendations for places to go if they ever ask me. I definitely recommend Division St Montana’s for a nice place to go...
Read moreStopped in for a late luncheon today, approx 1:30pm. Place wasn’t overly busy except for the bar area. We were greeted promptly at the door by the hostess and seated in the dining area. First 90 seconds of our experience was great, next 8 to 10 minutes not so much. That’s the time it took for a server to stop by our table. We hadn’t even received acknowledgment from a server as few passed by our table. Lol even the manager was seating at the table beside us chatting with? ( a guest? A buddy?) hard to say? He would get up now and then to chat with pest control guy and or run food etc. Amazing what a guest sees while waiting an extended period of time waiting for some sort of service, and when it came it was mediocre at best. Drinks were served quickly once ordered, food was relatively quick as well. Kudos for that. Food quality was so so , and the server didn’t even do a QC on us. If there had been a QC done as per their SOP would state I would have gotten fries that were edible and not the fries on my plate that were bland, limp and probably out of the deep frier before we were even seated.
