I was excited to visit this place for the first time, as my housemate has been visiting this place for a while. However, the experience was deeply disappointing. The person who appeared to be the owner seemed uninterested and off-putting while taking our order.
We also learnedâafter our food was already servedâthat they only accept debit and cash, which was frustrating as we only had credit card available. While my housemate remembered this policy afterward, we were still caught off guard. When we politely asked if there was an option to transfer money, the response we received was unexpectedly blunt. Rather than offering a solution, the owner dismissed us with a rude remark, questioning why we didnât carry physical cards.
We struggled to figure out a solution, even trying to contact friends for help. The total was only $22.60, yet the way she insulted us and made us feel worthless was completely unnecessary. What made it even worse was that my housemate had been a loyal customer, visiting time and again. However, the owner chose to be rude instead of showing any understanding.
Despite the food being tasty, the portion sizes were small, and the customer service left a lasting negative impression. No one should be treated this way over something so minor. Needless to say, we will never...
Read moreThe type of place you imagine being in the movies or on TV; a genuine rare gem you want to keep for yourself, and at the same time want to bring all your friends and family to experience because it's just that good. Some may write this off due to the rustic appearance or their own narrow-minded tastes, and for them I truly feel sorry, as they may never truly appreciate the hard work and love that goes into a rotating variety of authentic and delectable dishes made from scratch. This is the type of quaint community which revolves around the high-quality home cooked style meals with heart. I had to leave a review here for any other adventurous visitors passing through the market in search of some one-of-a-kind soulfood.
The perfect way to prime your taste buds and get to know some of what's on the menu when you make it...

Specifically, the flavour and aroma of the food is immaculate. There is nothing fancy about the dishes here, just exceptional taste and quality. Home cooked by someone who is clearly an expert chef and has been cooking amazing food like this for decades. Furthermore, the prices are honestly too low considering the quality of the food.
I make it a priority to support this local business not only because the food is fantastic, but because the staff are so friendly and welcoming. As an example, I had forgotten my debit card and had no cash. The owner told me it was ok and to come back next time and she would charge me then.
I would highly recommend you to try this food if you're near the market, or...
