First of all I'm glad that they are getting business into during these times and offered decent specials. Today i called in at 3:35 pm for an order I asked for 5 but was told 6pm no problem. She was nice on the phone and I asked about the rib special and I asked if they were back ribs and she said yes they are. I said I would like an order (special was $35) included I thought 2 strips of back ribs Barbecue sauce a pepperoni pizza an order of Mac and Cheese a salad and a order of fries enough for at least 2 people easy. I came and got my order just a few mins after 6, I was good i paid gave a tip and thanked them they said my order is here. When i got home the back ribs were side ribs and over cooked I called thinking I got chicken nuggets instead of Mac and cheese I called and said this, she said weren't you told? I said No and i told her i called around 330pm. I happen to get fried Calamari which i do not mind but my wife does, they ran out hmm! well if they told me maybe. I know tonight the temps were very low But I had a semi heated back seat and i knew somethings had to be warmed up but the middle of the pizza was cold cold (strange) a few moments in the air fryer made it better but cold in the middle was odd. I know they were just the 3 or 4 of them with everyone coming out with large orders its hard, I feel for them. But if they told me it was side ribs I may not have ordered them per say but Mac and cheese i should have been told before or at the restaurant i would have asked for a another salad instead. The lady i called back Danielle was nice and offered me a credit for a app next time but when we got the ribs my wife said these were not back ribs (they were just a bit over cooked but okay the ends were harder)...
Read moreI frequent this establishment at least once a month, as it in the neighbourhood and provides the only authentic pub-experience in Windsor. Its close-quartered, house-like familiarity affords one a wholesome experience. The revamped menu has had a great impact on business. Meals like the Pub Club, Lamb sliders, and the Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese guarantee to fill up the belly. Although a tad expensive, the food-style is appropriate with the traditional pub-scene. Guinness, Kilkenny, Boris, Strongbow, Newcastle (among other favourites) are all available from the wide variety of beverages (pints typically price from $5 - $7). Furthermore, a large selection of single-malt Scotch drinks like Glenlivet are also available. Accommodations include snug, high-raise bar, plenty of chairs and tables, church pews, outside patio with in-greened lattice-work, not to mention an entire upstairs (where the bathrooms are located) filled with tables, chairs and dartboards. Live music is playing nearly every night, with some really entertaining acts on the weekends. However, when live music isn't playing, unrelated and undesired selection sometimes arises (Lady Gaga, etc.). The staff, for the most part, is pleasant and polite. Being a patron, it's difficult for me to comment on how a virgin would experience Kildare. The post-weekend bartender, Bob, is definitely the best fit for the spot, though he does not work on the weekends. Overall, it is my favourite place to grab a drink and bite in the city. Anyone that is travelling through, looking to grab an afterwork pint, or enjoy a nice dinner with friends would benefit from this...
Read moreCalled around 4pm to order pickup for dinner while at work, asked for it to be ready around 5:45pm when I take my lunch break. Get there just before 6pm thinking I'm running late, food isn't ready, told it'd be a couple minutes. Okay, cool, no problem, I'll wait it out a bit. I payed for my food and waited. Five minutes go by, get told it's almost ready, just a few more minutes. Now fifteen minutes go by, still no food. Twenty minutes, still nothing. I can't even ask for my money back because no server in sight. I see her walk by from a distance, so I yelled "hello" to get her attention, and she snaps at me and tells me "you need to stop yelling at me". By this point my lunch break is well passed its limit, still waiting on food. I arrived just before 6pm, and didn't leave until after 6:30pm. My food was ordered in advance to be ready for 5:45pm. And you have the audacity to tell me not to yell? It was literally the only way to get your attention. Put yourself in my shoes and consider the situation I was in. On top of this all, the order was not made right, and was missing the drinks/cutlery AFTER YOU'D ASKED ME IF I WANTED ANY. When I did finally ask for a refund you flat out refused, saying I got my food. I couldn't stand there to argue because I was already late coming back to work. This review might just be a small drop in the bucket, but man this place has gone real downhill. Whether you care or not, never...
