I was extremely disappointed with my visit. I attended with my family - 6 people total. We arrived at 6pm (well before their closing time) on a Sunday night. We were asked if we had a reservation and we said no. The server seemed annoyed - she led us to a table with a “reserved” sign on it, and actually said “you can sit here, but next time you have to make a reservation.” We were a bit surprised because other than two other tables with 2 people at each, the restaurant was empty…
We ordered 3 vegetarian platters, and 3 meat platters. The meat dishes came on one larger platter, and the veggie ones came on another. The portions were extremely small. A tablespoon per serving and I’m not exaggerating. We were also missing portions of items. When we raised this with the server and showed that the portions of green lentils were missing, we were told by the owner that we must have ate them! Honestly disappointing experience

Read moreMy first time trying Ethiopian food and I'm glad I tried it here. The food was amazing. The spices used were memorable, but the taste was unforgettable. I had the #9 on the Meat Dishes on Injera menu, the "Doro Wat (spicy)". The Injera (resembles a Crepe and you can see it under the food and three of them to the right of the plate) soaked up all the spices very well and held up when using it to scoop it up. As for the "spicy" part, I didn't find it too hot, it just had a nice kick. The lemon-marinated chicken on the bone was tender and the hard boiled egg was a nice touch. Delicious.
Altogether it was about $20 with tax and tip for the dish and a Coke. It was a great experience with friends, I'll...
Read moreFirst time here. Service was great as the owner and his son took care of us and helped us with questions and suggestions.
This is an authentic restaurant so there are no utensils. You have a form of fluffy crepe that you are to pick up you your food with.
Food was very tasty. I would highly recommend for anyone that is a vegetarian. In fact I honestly enjoyed the vegetarian selections more than the meat. Favourite was the red lentils and the eggplant.
If you are looking for something different and truly authentic for Ethiopian food this...
