I ordered kids blueberry pancakes which cost 7.99🥞 on Sat Nov 25th @10:17am for pickup. I got there at 10:46 called from outside to make sure my order was ready because I had baby in car I didn't want to have to go in and stand around hence why I called ahead..I was told they threw out my order because I didn't get there quick enough again remember I ordered at 10:17 and got there at 10:47 that was only 30 min it took me get there...I had to dress the baby load him in car n drive over which drive takes alone 10 min...they said give the 10 min n they'll remake them...I waited in car with baby 10 min ran in pick them up when I got there I was charged $15.24 they were busy as he'll n I had parked just outside with door open of car to see baby so had no time to sit n argue the price at time so I paid n left when I got home opened pancakes to feed my son n there was no syrup no butter ...I originally went because I was treating my son to switch his breakfast up n at home didn't have syrup or else would've made them at home...so I couldn't do anything with pancakes there was no syrup... I called the restaurant same day spoke to manager (man) who apologized for all that happened that morning the throwing out my order n also for over charging me he said come in ill credit you I said ok.....I wake up n now say okay I'll go to get my credit with my son n just pay difference I get there order food n when I go to leave I tell waitress I had credit for 15.49...she goes back readjust the bill n comes back n I'm like yea no u took 15% off that's only 1.20 off bill I was told I would get my 15.49....she calls manager (lady) I explained she argues with me all infront other customers telling me it's all she will do take off a 1 20 because she had throw out my pancakes on Sat n remake I said it's not my fault u threw them out I called I wasn't given time how long they would take but also I didn't take 1 hr to go get them I took 30 min because I'm one person n I had to load a baby also into car n drive over....she refused to GIVE ME WHAT I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET THE ONLY REASON I WENT IS BECAUSE I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET 15.49 CREDITED FOR ALL THE INCONVENIENCE..... then leaves n comes back n says here's a card for 1 free item next time you come in......HELLO THE WHOLE ARGUMENT WE JUST HAD WAS FOR THE EXACT THING YOUR GIVING ME A CARD FOR!!! NO I DIDNT TAKE THE CARD U SAID YOUD GIVE ME 15.49 CREDITED BACK N U DIDNT NOW UR SAYING GIVE ME 1 ITEM FREE N NEXT TIME I COME YOULL PROB SWITCH WHAT YOU SAID AGAIN....
I AM A MOM WITH BABY ON LEAVE FOR MY SON BEING RECENTLY BORN DUE TO GETTING COVID FROM CLIENT AT WORK WHILE PREGNANT I DONT GET MAT LEAVE SINCE WAS SHORT ON HOURS I HAVE LIMITED INCOME SO NOW HAVING BEEN LITERALLY ROBBED FROM THIS RESTAURANT NOT 1 TIME BUT 2 TIMES IS NOT FAIR I WAS IN TEARS I ONLY WENT EXPECTING TO HAVE TO PAY DOFFERENCE OF MY ORDER NOT FULL BILL WHEN I WAS TOLD ID GET 15.49 OFF..I WOULDVE STAYED HOME FOR THAT MATTER OR GONE TO MY USUAL PLACE... Read moreThis was our first time here and as we walked in we were greeted promptly and we were seated at a table that was covered in salt and the floors were wet/sticky.
So we decided to seat ourselves at a different table (seemed hard to find a clean table, and this raised a concern.) The waitress said it was fine we could sit anywhere we like.
Waitress gave us menus. She asked us what we wanted to drink. As this was our first time, we had no clue what was available to drink. I looked quickly at the menu and couldn't find the beverage section, so I asked what was available to drink. She left our table with a rude manner and grabbed another menu, where the drinks were listed. So I'm not sure why we were not given all the menus, and why they are separated menus, no clue; this is just a breakfast joint, put everything on one menu!!
The waitress was a little pushy and I didn't even have a chance to look at the drinks menu and she's like "so now what would you like to drink?" I still had no clue, and I noticed they had interesting drinks because I didn't want tea or coffee... So I asked for water in the meantime. She seemed really upset.
I looked around at the others is eating, and looking at the atmosphere. I could tell there was like some sort of dark cloud hovering over this place. I looked at my partner and said what do you think, should we leave? She said yes. So we left.
A note to the owner: we came here to spend our money. You've got a lot of competition out there that serves breakfast. You may want to keep that in mind. This was our first time visiting your location, and it was the last and we didn't spend a dollar. Good luck with...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service at this location this morning. My son has an allergy to wheat ( anaphylactic reactions and epi pen required) and we let out server know before ordering. We have been to other Stacked locations and have always had great experiences and care taken with his food. We ordered a kids breakfast with gluten-free toast and gluten-free pancakes. We have ordered this in past and again have always had the utmost caution provided to us by the restaurant at other locations.
My son's food came with a sausage (which we know contains wheat) on his plate. When I let the server know she simply responded " you can just take it off." My son was unable to eat anything that touched the sausage due to the severity of his allergy. I then asked her to double check and ensure it was the correct meal only to have the allergen leaflets thrown at me telling me to check for myself to be sure. There was no offer to remake or fix the issue. I asked to speak with a manager only to find out that our server was the "manager."
This was totally unacceptable!!! Staff and management especially need to be better trained and knowledgeable on managing food allergies. Management should take pointers and training on handling allergies from the Oshawa North or Whitby...
