Yolo Bistro - Real Kerala Kitchen is a true hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Kerala flavors. From the very first bite, the experience was nothing short of brilliant. The highlight for me was their Kerala Parotta, soft, flaky, and layered to perfection, exactly how a traditional parotta should be. It’s rare to find such authenticity here in Canada, and this one took me right back to the taste.
We also tried the Kerala-style Kottayam fish curry, and it was absolutely outstanding. Rich, tangy, and perfectly spiced, it instantly made me nostalgic for the traditional curries of Kerala. It paired wonderfully with the parotta and truly showcased the chef’s expertise in preserving the authentic taste.
One thing I hope the restaurant can clarify is whether their non-vegetarian dishes are hand-slaughtered halal, as that would allow me to confidently try their other meat dishes like beef and chicken preparations. If confirmed, I would definitely explore the full range of their menu.
Overall, Yolo Bistro stands out for delivering genuine Kerala cuisine in its purest form. If you’re a fan of Kerala flavors, especially parotta and fish curry, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a true taste of...
Read moreI ordered biryani from this place via Uber Eats, and what I received was absolutely disgusting. Right as I opened the container, I was greeted by a long, black strand of hair right in the middle of the rice — not on the lid, not on the side, but buried inside the food like some horrifying surprise ingredient. It was utterly revolting.
I was in complete shock and lost my appetite instantly. I couldn’t bring myself to eat even a single bite. The thought of someone’s hair being mixed into what was supposed to be my dinner made me nauseous. It wasn’t just unappetizing — it was unhygienic, unsanitary, and downright disrespectful to paying customers.
This is supposed to be food prepared in a professional kitchen — not a nightmare served in a takeaway box. I ended up throwing the entire meal straight into the trash. Complete waste of money, time, and trust. I expected a decent meal and instead got a stomach-turning experience that ruined my evening.
Frankly, this raises serious questions about their kitchen hygiene and quality control. If something as obvious and unacceptable as a hair in the food made it past whoever’s in charge, I can’t even imagine what else might be...
