I had no idea how lovely this building was. Well done, Oshawa, well done! The seating had ample leg space, the decor was a welcoming surprise of new/old classics, the bar was quick and the washrooms although narrow, were lovely and clean.
Saw "Let's be Frank" recently with special guests - my favourite local peeps, The Doozies. Such a lovely night out.
I know you are not asking ... but perhaps this is a good place to suggest this for future guests who may need a reminder:
If you are attending a show and want to Facebook Real Time video it, don't constantly fidget like it's a professional gig and try harder to not get the back of the bald man's head in your video for the whole duration of the show. Very distracting.
(For the man with the lovely voice sitting beside me.) When going to a concert, people are there to hear the band and while you may have a lovely voice, and you did, kind sir, let the band be all I hear unless they say "join me in singing this song". Serenade your wife at home ... or in the car, next time.
Will definitely watch for upcoming events at Biltmore. ...
Read moreYesterday night, was a blast. Very good show S.O.S Abba. Only we bought 4 VIP, travelled from Richmond Hill to have a good night with my Mom, but was disappointed with the service of the Security Staff, we are standing next to the stairs, I know for sure not a good place to stay during the night but they not apparently well prepared for the event, ViP with no place to seat? Yes, they didnt put chairs in the beginning. One Security( the black tall slim guy his attitude level is so disgusting and rude) approached my mom to remove her chair because it was near to the stairs, fair enough but he never let us even to stand in there nor offered where to go. So basically you purchased ticket and that's it, you'll be treated like that. I think he just don't like Asian, because from the rest he is so polite. But the band was really good anyways, only 1 person will be able to ruined your night. The rest was okay. A little respect won't hurt and maybe treat us all equal would be highly...
Read moreUsually friends and I meet up here for emo night, but the last one on the 13th was probably our last. We assumed it would be packed since there was a third ticket tier added so we were already expecting to wait for drinks, but when we got there it was relatively empty and we still waited/were ignored for a majority of our time there by the bar staff. We elected to go to a bar down the street for cheaper drinks and better service, only to be berated by the blonde security guard upon re entry. She told us that this is a venue, so we can't just leave and come back- to an event that we paid money to be at? I've witnessed multiple other people doing the same thing during similar events, and my friends and I did not deserve being treated that way. Id suggest if you guys are going to have those rules in place, let people know beforehand so they can decide whether or not they'd like to be held hostage...
