Hi, I am a student in the area and order from this location on a regular basis, I absolutely love the food and have consistently recommended it. However, during my last visit I brought a few friends and came to get my regular order and instead received the worst customer service of all my experiences at Boustan's. Firstly, the employee working the store chose to only take my order and complete it before even offering to take the rest of the friends orders who were with me. Secondly, the employee barely spoke through the entire interaction other than to say apologize for adding toppings I explicitly asked them NOT to add, which they then began just picking off the shawarma. I asked them to add extra hot sauce, however the bottle was empty so I said no problem take your time, I will wait, just ensure you add more hot sauce please, to which my request was completely ignored. I even reminded them as they were adding the meat to the shawarma, and they nodded their head, and continued to wrap the shawarma without adding the extra hot sauce, and when I pointed this out they just continued nodding their head. When they attempted to give it to me I was almost in disbelief at the fact they still weren't understanding. I told them this was not what I asked for, and asked that they either remake or fix the shawarma or have me refunded to which they finally spoke and said they already added it... which they didn't... as the bottle was still yet to be refilled and my friends and I had been watching the entire time. So not only did they mess up the toppings and leave my friends waiting to still even take their order, but then especially ignored my request whilst acting like they were acknowledging it, and then lied about having already done it. At this point my friends were so appalled by the service I was receiving, they chose not to even order. Really unfortunate as I would frequently come here and only spoke highly of the food, but through this interaction not only did I receive the most unprofessional customer service, but also the wrong order which I was essentially refused...

Ever since I’ve been to @boustanrestaurant in Montréal on Crescent St, I’ve remembered their delicious shawarma! 😍 . They have now opened up their first store in Ottawa! . ✨I want to share that until this Friday, they have a wicked deal - pay just $2 for a Chicken, beef, mixed or falafel pita! Boustan is a modern style shawarma shop that puts their own twist on the shawarma platter by putting it into a convenient and organized to go bowl as well as using their specialty boustan sauce to give more flavor to the food.

The beef shawarma in the bowl was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the bowl was fresh and well organized. The food tasted delicious, and I like their style of fattoush as it caters more to everyone, due to their style being less bitter than a regular sumac filled faoutoush. Boustsan sauce tastes great and tasted like a garlic base with maybe tahini or something else added in. As a garlic lover myself, I did not complain when I tasted it! Rice and potatoes were also delicious, and they have some sort of healthy rice replacement they offer aswell!

Update: Turns out to get 2 sauced and fattoush salad with your plate. You order the platter for $21 rather than the junior bowl, which I ordered for much less. This was my mistake.
