I have never eaten there, hence no review. Review from a young at heart 40+ year old: We go for the music and atmosphere. So many nooks and crannies with seats if you don't like the crowds. Walk around and explore where you want to land. All bars are great, some bartenders are friendlier than others but they do tend to be super busy on the weekends and everyone gets tired. A smile goes a long way. Some bartenders are also more diverse in their cocktail and shot knowledge, so I tend to stick to them for the night as we're not beer drinkers. Downfall: lots of broken glass on the ground and especially on the dance floor and bathrooms. After all these years of going, I still don't get why they don't switch to plastic glasses when serving in the main room at night. Dancing, bumping and jumping around leads to sticky floors and broken glasses. I stopped wearing "pretty heels" as the shards hurt the underneath of my foot and switched to "pretty sneaks" instead lol. Upside: You like live music, socializing and meeting friendly people of all ages, the ❤️ & 👑 is a great place to go on the market.

Absolutely do not recommend this place if visiting from Quebec. Was assaulted and thrown by one of the security guards (Thursday at 1:30-1:40AM) after showing my ID (Passport) when just wanting to go inside to grab my Fiancé and this was after going in prior to security showing up later in the evening. (I’ll say the Bartender earlier on in the evening was amazing and didn’t discriminate us when we were carded) The manager refused to allow us to view the security footage they claimed to have and then proceeded to headlock and throw my fiancé out as well. The defensiveness and trying to rid of us quickly when attempting to flag down a cop driving by shows the liability they held at hand. We’ll be contacting Law Enforcement and making sure this gets handled the way it should be. This experience has left me in utter shock and immense amount of physical and mental pain as a previous victim of assault and abuse. We’ll never be visiting again. (Update - reached out as requested below yet no response)

Heart and Crown is a local Irish pub that is dog friendly and offers cheap pitchers and pints. I ordered the Mango Mule mocktail which was delicious - sweet with a spicy after taste. I had the coconut & habenero chicken sliders as an appatizer. They are quite large for sliders, the habebero compote is not spicy but sweet which pairs well with the chicken (which is not too cool nutty but still delicious). For my main, I had the after school special with the tomato bisque. The sandwich wad delicious but there was too much of the potato and chive sauce. The bisque was delicious, creamy and smooth. The flavor profile of the two together were delicious. My friends mentioned their food was also delicious and were impressed by the quality of the food at a pub downtown.

Every year we attend this spot with the Guard of Honour for the Police and Peace Officers Memorial in September. The ownership and staff have accommodated our group very well each year. We appreciate everything they do for us.
