New York Fries Bayshore Shopping Centre — Restaurant in Ottawa

Food is fine, I have no qualms with that, it's the staff. I went previously, the girl was ON her phone in the middle of making food, then went to touch the food. I asked her if she was going to wash her hands, and with her hands still on the box she rolls her eyes and goes "yeah" with teenage snark. Then she complains to her worker about it.

I just came a second time. Same girl. No smile, no customer service, just dead stare at me, I order one item, she just stares! Doesn't ask if I want anything else! She has black floors hair in a ponytail. Then a guy was working too, I watch him wipe the sweat off his forehead with his hand, wipe it on his apron, then proceed to work.

These kids need to learn hygiene and sanitary work. Not even just because of covid, but that's just plain disgusting. I won't be coming back until they learn to work with food (pretty sure they need their Food Handlers, doubt they do) and how to deal with customers.

Don't care if it's "fast food" and blah blah blah. It'd food. They need to learn to wash their hands and smile. They're providing a service, they should do it properly or get a job at a call center and be rude there. Would suit the girl, she gets to be on a...

Great fries as the name goes ... It truly is one of a kind and that alone can make simple fry on its own taste good not to mention a poutine. I ordered a lg poutine during a lunch rush on a Saturday. It was fast service even though the line was long. The gravy was hot and melted the cheese nicely. But the fries were under cooked. Soggy taste which gravy couldnt cover. I realized that on a normal weekday your order could be cooked to perfection as its not super busy or rush... I work in Bayshore mall and eat regularly at New York Fries. The customer service is always friendly and the food is always top notch. I’m only leaving the three stars because as mall employees we get discounts in the food court and my coworkers always get 50% off whereas I only ever get 10% off which sucks considering how expensive everything is getting. I must have offended New York Fries at some point because when I mention it to my coworkers they tell me that they have been told management of New York Fries has said they just like my coworkers more.
