EDIT: Went back today and had a very nice chat with the owner, turns out the stale bread was a supplier issue (not his fault) that he has fixed. Had the grilled chicken sub today and it was easily the best Bahn Mi I've ever had! Top 3 sandwich in Ottawa for sure. Saucy, fresh, and delicious. Thank you so much to the owner and his staff for the great service and delicious food! You've made a customer for life.

I've been to the shop twice since they've opened, first time I had the original Viet Bahn Mi, it was tasty, could have used some more sauce, but overall was pretty good. Second time I had the grilled pork, and the pork was good, but the bun was so stale and dry I had to choke down the sub. Like, fall apart stale, and the bun was like 75% of the sandwich, could have used more filling and sauce, but ultimately the bun was so dry I ended up throwing out the last third of the sandwich.

This place is so bad with taking orders over the phone. I’ve ordered a vermicelli before here and it was the wrong order. They gave me a sub instead. I didn’t complain, took it and paid for it. The second time I ordered over the phone for a pick up of vermicelli and repeated myself several times that I would like vermicelli and not a sub. When I went to pick up and pay they somehow didn’t have my order and started making it on the spot. But they were making the wrong order, a sub again so I had to stop them and say that I ordered a vermicelli plate. At that point they told me that I will have to wait an extra 10 minutes and I had to cancel the order because I had called 45 mins before to do a pick up and not wait there.
