Mykonos Pizza & Spaghetti House — Restaurant in Penticton

We went and sat down, ordered drinks. Got them. tables around us started filling up. People got their food ate and left before we finally broke down and asked for the food to go. We have a 3 year old and a 6 month old and a very limited window in which the both of them will co-operate long enough to actually let us eat. We were sat down for an hour before we asked for the food to go, paid $46 for a lamb dish (very tasty, best rice i've ever had) 2 pops, a milk and their boiled spaghetti with burned parmesan and paprika, 3 meatballs and garlic prawn appetizer (timely).The Parmesan spaghetti was not appetizing and was picked at until we threw it out. The ambiance and the colors of the restaurant maybe Greek, but the food sure isn’t. They had very limited Greek food options. I don’t know what business a Greek restaurant has selling pizza and pasta but we were really hungry after a day of being on the lake. So I ordered a pizza. To my big mistake. The pizza took forever to come and it wasn’t even hot, the tomatoes were sliced too thick and had really no flavour at all. I had a bite of my sons lasagna and it has this weird ingredient in it almost tasted like Chef Boyardee meat sauce. This is a must go to restaurant in Penticton. I have lived in Ok Falls for over a year now and had never stopped in here and now i'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. The decor is dated yes, but that is what makes it great and nostalgic. The food is awesome. Portions were great sizes and their dips are very well made. Pita was hot and crispy on the outside and soft in the center. We had the Greek plate and baked lasagna. Both terrific meals.It was also pretty cool that the owner used to have a similar restaurant in my home town of Nelson BC. The owner even had a soccer team picture with my dad in it.
