I’m giving this restaurant a one-star, The food is what you would expect for a McDonald’s; however, the inside was messy, and it felt like a bunch of teenagers running the show, and they didn’t seem to know what the hell they were doing. I ordered a new item on the menu: Parmesan cheese and garlic fries. I took a couple of bites, and I didn’t like them they were tasteless, weird, and I didn’t like them. I had no idea that I was not going to like the fries. I’ve never seen them on any McDonald’s menu before. So, after my two bites and discovering I did not like them, I went to the staff and politely asked for the manager or a supervisor. When the supervisor arrived, I told her I didn’t like these fries. That’s all that I said, the night supervisor told me, "You should know whether or not I’m going to like an item on the menu." She indicated it did not matter that I had never seen the item at McDonald's before. Because in the future I can’t simply get a refund for an item I don’t like, even if I’ve never had it before. She offered to replace the french fries with new ones, and said, "In the future, I should just simply know whether or not I like an item. Even though I’ve never had it before." I said no, and with a total attitude, she refunded my money. I am definitely not giving this any more than one star for this restaurant, it was rude and messy. I will not be returning to this restaurant. To be clear this was...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 star I would for this Mcdonalds. I never even knew it was possible for a McDonald's to have such bad customer service, to be run so poorly until I came here. They are severely understaffed so don't expect service, whether it be at the drive through or in store experience, for at least 5+ minutes of waiting for someone to acknowledge you. When it is your turn at the cashier, you may be met by an extremely miserable looking employee or an extremely rude manager that will not greet you nor ask what you would like to order. Do not be surprised if they do not have what you want in stock and she will respond with a "No! We don't have that!" regardless of what time of day you go in the store. She will proceed to stalk off for another 5 minutes where you're left feeling flabbergasted at what you are supposed to say when she comes back or react to how rude you have been treated so far. The remaining 3 employees look severely miserable to be there and I'm not surprised by how they are treated by said manager.
Do yourself a favor and drive 5 to 10 minutes towards coquitlam centre to the location at 2725 barnet highway, where you will be met with friendly service and actual normal looking McDonald's food. I really hope McDonald's headquarters start realizing there is something severely wrong with this john...

Dear McDonald’s Customer Service,
Today, September 5th at around 3:00 p.m., I visited your restaurant at 3033 St Johns St, Port Moody, BC. I ordered ice cream and a strawberry cheesecake for my son.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the level of service and hygiene standards at this location. The employee who served the ice cream and cheesecake touched the cheesecake with her finger. Her fingernails were very long and appeared dirty, which raised concerns about the cleanliness and safety of the food.
At first, I was refused a replacement, even though I clearly saw her touch the dessert and also noticed that her work surface was dirty. Only after insisting was I able to get a refund for the cheesecake. I was unable to read the employee’s name on her badge due to my imperfect vision.
Although I eventually received a refund, the violation of hygiene standards and the initial refusal to resolve the issue left a very negative impression.
I kindly request that McDonald’s reviews this incident, ensures proper hygiene practices are followed, and addresses the quality of service at this location.
Thank you for your attention to this...
