After reading the reviews I was excited to try this restaurant and decided to order the lasagna which arrived swiftly and was piping hot and tasty, it was odd though cash only or credit card no debit at the door, odd considering it’s 2020. Anyway the lasagna was good so I decided to try the pizza a couple of days later. I ordered a ham pepperoni mushrooms, an old staple hard to screw up right? Nope! Great tasting pizza requires great ingredients not “no frills” basic grocery cheese and meats, and it was expensive as all heck! $29 tax paid for a cold mediocre pie, thin toppings and meh flavour, frankly the Panago pizza I had with the same ingredients was half the price and twice as tasty and I don’t normally bother with chain pizza places, I like to support locally owned places but come on, it’s like you are not even trying here, very sad. I saw several other dishes coming out of the kitchen that looked and smelled fantastic so maybe that’s where this place shines but don’t bother with the pizza, sorry... Restaurant interior although tired looking is nice, spacious with a great patio and spectacular view of the ocean.

Overall good experience. Beautiful sunset views. Would love if the place could be modernized a bit. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Meals ordered: Peppercorn Steak, Lamb Souvlaki and Chicken Souvlaki. I was happy with how my steak was cooked, and the peppercorn sauce was tasty. I thought the baked potato was a good side option, but I felt it cheapened it a bit when the potato fixin’s were served in mini paper cups rather than a ceramic ramekin and that they were faux bacon bits. My husband and mother in law enjoyed their souvlaki meals, and the portion seemed large! I was a bit shocked to see that the Greek platters only had rice, and not both rice and lemon roasted potatoes. My mother in law also felt her Greek salad had minimal dressing. Given that it’s a Greek restaurant, it would also be nice to have pita bread rather than G toast. Honestly, we left happy and satisfied:)

Sub par greek food .I had the lamb souvlaki, which was on a bed of very un greek rice. The veg was unevenly sliced cold carrots with turnip and zuchinni. The Greek salad was wilty cuke and green pepper with minimal grated feta with 1 olive.. Tzatziki sauce was in a plastic cup.. I've been to numerous Greek restaurants over the years, and this was a sad experience . WHERE'S THE PITA ? Every Greek restaurant I've ever been to has served pita with a Greek meal.. Oh, and no salt and pepper were at the table or offered. BLAHHHHH ...

Reading other reviews makes me think this restaurant shouldn't be open during the blackberry festival because the staff really doesn't seem to want to work. It was a surprise to be treated in such an unwelcoming and confrontational manner. I guess you can really only get away with treating people this way in small towns. I stopped in at 930pm because the open sign was on, I asked if they were still open and an older rough looking woman said the kitchen would be open for 15 minutes, I grabbed my friends and they sat us down and told us what was available to order, which is understandable because it was last minute. I had an empty growers can that i sat on the table and I was waiting for our waitress to finish talking so I could ask her where to throw it out when all of a sudden this other waitress flew over and angrily said that I couldn't drink it in there. I told her that I was aware and I was going to ask where I could dispose of it. she snatched it away as she said she'd do it for me with contempt. We were then told that we could only order for take out, and when we questioned why, all of the staff became extra confrontational and super snotty. If they had just turned off the open sign or told us they were closed from the beginning we would of understood. It was the fact that they sat us down with menus and told us they would serve us before switching up, then got defensive when we questioned it, is what merits a bad review. I have also learned from these reviews that it seems like we dodged a bullet because the food quality and pricing is also receiving less than stellar reviews. This establishment and staff wouldn't survive in a larger city, the owner should look into training their staff better or these people should look into career changes if they hate their jobs that much. I highly recommend spending your...

I have been eating here for longer than I care to mention, and now that I live elsewhere I look forward to dining at Snickers each time I come back to Powell River. Their pizza is as reliably good as any, but they really shine in the Greek cuisine. Try the Pepper Steak ala Al ... I have yet to find one better. These folk also do Kalamari perfectly too ... never rubbery, and dry enough to provide a nice crunch. You might want to ask for more dill in the Tsaziki though.

What is the best about this restaraunt though, is the staff. More often than not it is the owner seating you and he is a very polite and respectful gentleman. The waitresses though ... they will be attentive with out intruding if that is what you want, but I recommend opening up some banter as they have a great sense of humour here.

We bring my wife's parents here for their birthdays every year, they love it that much.

Rarely is there a reservation required, but around dinner time on a Friday or Saturday you might want...
