We tried this place on Civic Day, and as you probably know, Quebec doesn’t observe Civic Day like other provinces, so it becomes a popular spot for people to visit when everything else is closed. That’s probably why there was a long lineup of about 25 people in front of us. Even though they had some free tables outside, they didn’t have enough servers to cover them. But there was a really nice guy managing the line, talking to everyone and explaining the wait, which made the experience way better. Once we got seated, we were given a menu with lots of options, and what I really liked was that they had a little icon next to the dishes that were made with local Quebec ingredients. That made it easier to try the more authentic items. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were huge. Most meals came with fries and a lot of sides. You could also upgrade to include a soup and drink, and for just $1.55 more, you could add a dessert too. We ordered a pitcher of IPA for $23, and the regular pitchers were $20, which felt pretty fair. The only small issue was that they forgot our hot drink and dessert at first, even though we had upgraded for them. But they eventually brought them, and honestly, they were super busy, so it was understandable. The mushroom soup was tasty, even though the portion was small. The food overall was really delicious, the service was super friendly, and for what you pay, the whole experience was totally worth it.

Came for breakfast and my overall review is that it was just okay. Nothing really special about it. It's just a standard breakfast place. We got seated quickly, as it was just 2 of us. Any groups of 3+ people were waiting for a very long time. Once seated, we waited for quite some time before flagging someone down and asking to see a menu. Menu items are pretty standard for a breakfast place. Eggs, omelettes, benedict's, combos, etc. we got the Benedict and one of the breakfast combos. The benedict was not bad. Everything was cooked well, and tasted good. The breakfast combo was quite simple, with nothing really standing out. A few small eggs, a few small slices of bacon/sausage, some potatoes, and some meat pie, which was just alright. If we could rate individual menu items, we would give the coffee a 1 star. We were seated outside, where the tables were quite narrow. Not a lot of room, but it was nice to have fresh air. Prices were the best part of this meal. For the location, a $15-$20 breakfast was a great deal. However, we will not be coming back. We unfortunately did not research other breakfast places, and walked around aimlessly looking for breakfast. This location was the only breakfast place with reasonable prices that had available seating.

I went here the other night with my girlfriend and a few friends and we all absolutely loved our experience here due to not just the great food but also because of the outstanding table service from our waitress Elsa who definitely deserves a big shout out. We were there to try some traditional, authentic Quebec cuisine so we wanted Tourtière and French Onion Soup. Thankfully Elsa recommended to us that we should split the Le Pâté Chinois and a bowl of French Onion Soup and we can honestly say that we loved the food and were very satisfied because we got exactly what we were looking for. Elsa was unbelievably friendly and really kind to take the time to talk with us and give us some very good advice about the local cuisine, language, the city and everything else which was very helpful since we were tourists. Elsa definitely made our experience there a very pleasant one since she actually took the time to not just recommend us some good food but because she actually made us feel very comfortable and welcome at the restaurant and especially in the city.  We can’t thank her enough for the experience and I can’t wait to come back here during my next visit to the city!

We were recommended this Quebecois restaurant by our tour guide and had high expectations. The selection of food is great, there's something for everyone. However, we did not like the food at all. I went for their menu of the day with tourtiere and the pie itself was nice but the mashed potatoes had literally no taste at all and the boiled vegetables on the side were so bland. Their house ketchup was great though, but it seems to only come with the seasonal tourtiere menu. I thought I had made the wrong choice just because I asked for mashed potatoes rather than fried but my partner got fries and they were also just tasteless (I am assuming frozen but I don't even know). The hot chicken sandwich (which is not spicy chicken, it's a chicken sandwich doused with gravy, the waitress did warn us about this) was extremely soggy and the gravy was clearly also from a box and tasted like nothing. The chicken, despite being completely covered in gravy, was still super dry and unseasoned. It wasn't all bad, though. The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and our water glasses were always topped up immediately like it was magic. And the crepe we had for dessert was huge and delicious, with lots of berries and ice cream. Overall the prices are really good but I would've rather paid more and had just better quality of food on my plate. Maybe we chose wrong and other stuff is great but those potatoes...
