The setting is lovely and the table well appointed. It was quiet and a pleasant atmosphere. The wine was mediocre and way over priced. We took the special menu of local products "Iles de la Madeleines". The soup - clam based was bland and not warm enough. The canned clam chowder I've bought is better. The main course: the galete de harang was undercooked and doughy - the crust was non-existant. The loup marin was rubbery and tasteless. The salad was a mystery - only the hazelnuts had flavour. and the dessert. A lovely cheese similar to Pont l'Eveque was placed on a gluey jam mixture that clashed horribly with the cheese. Eat like the rich and famous! The ambience and service definitely made me feel special throughout our experience. Now the food - best plated lunch in Quebec for sure. The duck confit was tasty but it is the veggies that shine. Was told that all greens were grown on site. Just full of flavour. A starter is included with the main. I substituted with octopus with a small addition. It was lovely - tender, seasoned just nice. Enjoyed it with a glass of Bourgogne.
