The setting is lovely and the table well appointed. It was quiet and a pleasant atmosphere. The wine was mediocre and way over priced. We took the special menu of local products "Iles de la Madeleines". The soup - clam based was bland and not warm enough. The canned clam chowder I've bought is better. The main course: the galete de harang was undercooked and doughy - the crust was non-existant. The loup marin was rubbery and tasteless. The duck confit was tasty but it is the veggies that shine. Was told that all greens were grown on site. Just full of flavour. A starter is included with the main. I substituted with octopus with a small addition. It was lovely - tender, seasoned just nice. Enjoyed it with a glass of Bourgogne. Overall, I highly recommend this hidden gem which seems to have greatly improved since renovations in 2019. Price was very reasonable and comparable to most restaurants...
