barBURRITO — Restaurant in Regina

First visit at this location and very disappointed in the lady that was preparing our order. Yesterday, June 6th at 6p.m. We watched her prep our food order and several others including Skip the Dishes orders. She wore one pair of plastic gloves the whole time. Never changed them. She took orders off a tablet, worked cash machine, handled a chrome container and food with her fingers (tongs used for meat and a few items and fingers to grab lettuce, tomatoes and hold taco shell in place. We asked for a fork for a child and she handed us the fork with no plastic on it and worse by the mouthpiece part and not even the handle. There is so much cross contamination happening there. Not good. Another lady came up front from the kitchen to help. We noticed a total difference. Watched her and she continuously changed her plastic gloves for cleanliness. We spoke to her about what we witnessed and she started correcting her and telling her to change her gloves. We asked their names, and the one lacking skills preparing food could not speak or understand us? And neither would give us their names. We've been to the east location and never witnessed this before. Coming out of Covid, this is not the way you want people to prepare and...

Place is clean, well-lit, and the ingredients and food are fresh. Unfortunately that is where the good experience ends. I stopped in after work, there only appeared to be 2 people working right as the dinner rush started.

One of the two people was so brand-new that she didn't know how to properly fill the burrito (the other worker wasn't teaching her at all). It wasn't until she tried to ring us through that the other girl working there figured out what happened and fixed the burritos.

Once they were fixed, I tried to pay in cash. This resulted in a 5 minute ordeal as the new girl tried to read each coin's denomination so that she could give the change. She was so new to Canada that she didn't even know the coins well enough to count the change.

Why was there not someone there dedicated to teaching her?! The other worker was not teaching at all. Having only 1 experienced person there for dinner rush and not having a dedicated teacher for the new girl was a recipe for disaster. This was my first experience at a barBurrito and it will be a while until I return. Disappointing considering the good reviews that the other locations...

I was apprehensive to buy dinner at this spot but I'm happy I did. My friend and I weren't sure what we wanted to order but the cashier and the staff helped us. We don't normally have Mexican food or eat burritos so the assistance was greatly appreciated.

I ordered a small pulled pork burritos with a bit of beans, guacamole, lettuce etc. My friend got a spicy chicken burritos. We got our meals pretty quickly. The service was great right throughout the ordering process until we got our meals.

Staff members engaged us in conversation while we waited on our burritos. They were all pleasant and warm. We enjoyed our meals and were pleased to have gone there.
