The Meating Room — Restaurant in Regina

My husband and I recently visited and ordered out. As we walked out of the Meating Room with the pizza box in hand, my husband remarked how heavy it was and that it was likely nicely loaded. Only upon arriving home (nearly the opposite end of the city), did we discover that it was in fact loaded, but with the thickest layer of cheese either of us had ever seen. Having requested extra light cheese on half of the pizza, we were disappointed with little else for toppings on what was a bbq chicken pizza. Having resorted to picking off the cheese because of its abundance, it made for an unfortunate experience. Even my husband opted to pass on the leftovers (a first ever), which we jokingly called the “block of cheese” in our fridge for the following week.

Given our disappointment, we attempted to call 4-5 times in the week and a half following to discuss the possibility of a replacement in light of the inaccuracy of our order. Each time, we respectfully explained the situation and were told that a manager would call us back shortly. Unfortunately, we have yet to hear back. Hence, our low rating in relation to food and...

Came to the M:eating Room when they first opened, had a great experience. Came here today, had a terrible experience.

Mood was meh. Fries undercooked, rice so over spiced it burns to eat. Smoked tofu so heavily coated in spices you can't taste any smoke flavor.

Service was terrible. Woman working the front counter was very rude. Only 3 customers allowed in the store at a time. Ordered and was told to leave and come back in 10 minutes. Waited outside for 10 minutes and came back in to find our order hadn't been started. Waited another 10 minutes for her to make our food. Group that came in and ordered after us got their food before us as the other worker took their order. Once our food was ready, she said to us "Your food is ready. Next time order online." This used to be my go to place for food (I was actually a little obsessed, getting at at least once per week or more). Everything was always fresh and delicious and the portions were always amazing. I understand that prices have increased, but getting less than half of the portion size and not even getting what you ordered (extra protein and sauces) is honestly ridiculous. I can't justify paying almost $30 for a rice bowl. My partner and I ordered last night as we had a long weekend of yard work and didn't want to cook. Our rice bowls barely had any rice let alone anything else. Extra protein looked like less than a regular serving, extra sauce did not happen (I don't even think one of the default sauces was even used on mine) this isn't the first time it has happened but also gave it another chance.
