I am writing to share a troubling incident I experienced today as a delivery driver for DoorDash at your store. I believe there was a misunderstanding, and I hope you can review this matter fairly and provide clarity or an apology for the situation.
When I arrived at the store to pick up an online order, I received a notification from DoorDash that the order was ready. Upon informing the store employee, I was told the order wasn’t actually ready. The employee admitted that he had mistakenly marked the order as ready in the system. I calmly explained that this could affect my performance metrics on DoorDash, and, to protect myself, I mentioned I would take a photo as evidence that the order wasn’t ready. My intention was solely to document the delay and ensure I wouldn’t face any penalties on the platform.
However, the situation escalated unexpectedly. The employee involved informed the owner/manager, who approached me in a confrontational manner. He demanded that I delete the photos from my phone, threatened to sue me, told me to leave the premises, and accused me of behaving inappropriately. I want to stress that I never raised my voice, used inappropriate language, or disrespected anyone. My focus was simply on ensuring I wasn’t held accountable for an error that was out of my control.
The tone and behavior of the owner/manager were not only unprofessional but also felt discriminatory and hostile. This incident left me deeply disturbed and disrespected. As someone who values professionalism and mutual respect, I was shocked by the response to what I believed was a reasonable action on my part.
I am reaching out in good faith to request an investigation into this matter and to ensure such situations are handled more respectfully in the future. I would also appreciate an apology, as this incident has caused significant distress. I trust that you will address this issue with fairness and take appropriate action to prevent similar...
Read moreI specified that I have a mustard allergy and that my burger could not contain any of the ingredients that include mustard or be seasoned. I specified all the dangerous ingredients including mayonnaise and ordered a plain King burger with only lettuce, onions and tomatoes but the burger arrived with Mayo. I did not see it until I had had two or three bites.
We spoke with someone who claimed to be the owner, Krisham, who apologized but tried to explain the mistake due to training new staff.
We sat right beside the kitchen and Krisham was expediting all of the food and had the conversation with our server about restrictions. So to try and dodge any responsibility is outrageous and absolutely disgusting behavior for a restaurant owner.
He then grabbed the book with all the allergy information and tried to tell me that the mayonnaise didn't have mustard in it. We found the page with mayonnaise on it and it listed mustard. He then tried to apologize again and offered to make me a new burger. I said no thank you.
Serving customers dangerous food when they specified their allergy and what they needed removed from their meal to be safe is an unbelievable lapse in common sense and safe practice. We simply can not EVER come back to fatburger if we can not be assured that your staff have even the most basic respect for their responsibility in the kitchen which is to keep their...
Read moreAmazing service phenomenal people. Great restaurant. Every time I'd come to this place the employees would let me use their rest room even now during COVID-19. This is extremely kind of you to be willing to let me use your rest room while in the mean time you would serve me my basic needs. This commitment always met my expectation and is the reason for why I consider this place to be cemented in the stars.
