Burger King — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

If you want to get FAST food, don’t go. I live a 5 minute drive and needed a quick dinner… I ended up having the person ask in the drive thru speaker about 4 times what the order was; which I’ll understand if that was it considering sometimes they may not hear … but when we approached the window he asked our order again, we confirmed it (simple, 2 whopper combos with onion rings as the side for both. With mozerella sticks as an extra side). He came back a total of 5 more times asking each time what the order was. Finally, we got our food but thank goodness my husband didn’t trust how the service was and when we checked the bag, they forget all the sauces that automatically come with the sticks and onion rings. Now this in total was almost 15 minutes of us already ordering and waiting — mind you nobody was in front of us — so I just wanted to go inside, ask for the sauces, and finally get home. Well, they lock the doors and only serve drive thru apparently now, so we have to drive through it again, for them to ask another 4 times in the speaker what we want, tell us to drive forward. Wait almost 5 minutes for the person in front of us to get their order, and then a few minutes of him taking another order before even looking our way. Then, finally when we get noticed, we have to tell him at the window 3 or 4 times the sauces we need. Totalling almost 25 minutes of us trying to get food. Why did we have to tell the person working, how the food comes / what should be there? And why is he asking almost every 30 seconds for a few minutes what our order is? Either he is extremely extremely new, or drunk.

I never write google reviews, but I have to write one for the experience I just had here on Monday July 12, 2021 around 9:55-10:25pm.

I went there and ordered a milkshake, and a chicken fries combo. The girl at the window told me that it would be a 4 minute wait as they had to fry them fresh no problem.

When I got to the front to pay, she asked me to park at the front and that they would bring my food to me.

About 10-15 had passed at this point and another car pulled up alongside me to wait for their food. One of the employees brought out the order for the other car and in the process locked herself out of the store. She waited around 5-8 minutes until a coworker noticed her and let her in (still waiting for my food and watching this). Honestly, this seemed like an honest mistake which could happen to anyone so I let it slide.

2-3 minutes pass and she brings me my food. They gave me fries instead of onion rings which I asked for and forgot my sauce. When I looked up to signal for her, I noticed THAT SHE HAD LOCKED HERSELF OUT AGAIN. I had no time to wait for her to get back into the store and then fix my order so I left a little angry, but mostly confused at the level of stupidity that I just witnessed. I don't mean to be harsh, but I need whoever is reading this to comprehend what I just witnessed.

Compared to other Burger Kings, the food is fine. I honestly wouldn't stray far from the Whopper; the chicken is horrible and salty (nuggets in particular), as are the other burgers with few vegetables to counter the sodium.

The staff here generally seem to be hardworking and I've had positive one-on-one experiences. (There seems to be a lot of turnover though.) With a couple exceptions they get my special orders correct. But this location is generally very inefficient. I usually place my order via the app for the points, and I have to wait longer for my order than both drive-through and counter customers. Half the time they don't seem to begin preparing my order till I go up to the counter, which I appreciate for freshness reasons, but which is stupid. If I weren't ready to get my order, I wouldn't have placed it. Store is generally "fast food clean". Half the tables need to be wiped, but the other half are sufficient.

Note that the dining room is not open 24 hours, only drive-through is. At this time, dining room is 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Summary: If you want Burger King, well, this is Burger King. Why do you want Burger King? I don't know, but...
