Awful, unsatisfying, and unacceptable service and food portions. Zero stars for how the server (Swapna) dealt with this issue:
I ordered the Keto Breakfast Plate as I have before in other Eggsmart locations. It is my go-to order recently and I have been satisfied with its portion and taste in two other locations. At this East Beaver Creek location however, the portion was extremely small (you can see the gaps on the plate between the food) and they missed giving me a side of berries and salad dressing. This is not worth $18. I took photos of the same dish at the other two locations and the difference in portion size is appalling.
When I brought this issue up with the server, she told me that this is how they serve the dish here but that she would bring it up with the owner. The server also told me that because it is a keto dish, there were no berries included -- which is completely incorrect! It says point blank on the menu that the dish comes with a side of berries (with a picture of the dish showing it too). I told her to look at the menu again. She finally brought back a small cup of berries to my table along with the menu but did not acknowledge her mistake or issue an apology.
Staring at my plate, I was very disappointed with what I received. I had ordered this same dish at other Eggsmarts and this was not how the order was made. I again flagged the server and asked to talk to the owner myself. The server told me to wait as she would get the owner.
Minutes later, she came back to tell me the owner had a wisdom tooth extraction and was busy talking on the phone taking orders. I told her the owner could speak to me after her phone call then. I wanted to speak to the owner myself to show her the discrepancy of the photos of the Keto Breakfast Plate I received at other locations and how it paled in comparison at this location. The server kept reiterating that the owner wasn't available to talk to me. She asked me again what was the problem (even though I already told her and showed her). I had to repeat myself again. Then the server said she would give me the owner's phone number for me to contact her myself and could provide me some greens and avocado and scrambled eggs if I liked. I also pointed out that the dish lacked a salad dressing. The server told me the keto dish did not include a salad dressing. I told her the other locations of Eggsmart provided it with the dish. This server needs better training on what a dish contains.
In the end, I never spoke to the owner to express my dissatisfaction nor received an apology from the server. The server also never gave me the owner's phone number either. She did give me some greens, half an avocado, and house dressing to make up for it.
I did not feel like I was heard and was very disappointed with my meal and the way the server dealt with the issue. I won't be coming to this location again any time soon.
Please do better and provide proper amendments immediately when the customer brings up an issue instead of denying and deflecting it. This includes rejecting a customer's desire to speak...
Read moreIt was my first visit to this location and I would not recommend eating here again. We were seated about 2:20pm It seemed the place was pretty empty on a Sunday. We placed our order, My wife’s order was fine, My order was wrong, they took my order back to correct it, but then our server brought half a plate of food without any meat, and told me to start with this. I have never been out to eat and they tried to serve me half of my order to save time..lol, I was instantly turned off of the meal. They took it back, found something to put on my plate, which seemed like something cooked previously. Which I didn’t not eat.
Now after this bad experience with the service. It was time to pay, pulled out my debt card and they said Debt machine does not work sometimes, but didn’t even try the card to see if it worked. More seemed like they wanted cash payment.? The waitress said “if you don’t have cash don’t pay the bill” very loud so other customers could hear, which was pretty embarrassing considering they do not accept Debt payment. Which they should tell you when you’re being seated. I paid cash regardless and we left.
Called the location to speak to the manager and put in a complaint, was told that they are the owner and manager and I would have to find the contact my self if I wanted to put in a complaint above the person who answered the phone (which was the same person serving me). And hung up on me.

Read moreMy fiancé and I visited this East Beaver Creek location in Richmond Hill/Markham about a week ago. It was a Sunday morning. What a wonderful experience. The hostess was most welcoming and friendly and our waitress named Tina was simply lovely and very cheerful. The service was amazing 🤩, much attention is paid to guests at this restaurant and refills of coffee abounded. Tina was very kind and patient as we made up our minds of what to order. We shared the Keto plate with stuffed avacados and scrambled eggs with a side of eggwhites for my fiancé who is extra health conscious. The food and coffee were amazingly delicious and freshness is number one priority here. Kudos to this East beaver creek location in Richmond hill. 5 stars all the way.
