Whoever rated this 4 stars or higher is a lier. This is a true review and this place is horrible. When we went on October 30th ( very recent ), my friend had this Chinese groupon which most of the customers use. Before, when the Chinese groupon was first distributed, it was sold for $9.99 Canadian and it included a variety of dishes and a drink. On the site, you can pay by card, but over by Typhoon BBT, they only accept cash. So that's already an inconvenience for most people, especially for us since we often use card. To add on, when we went there for the first time the service was ok at best. ( look in google reviews on google for more service information) We told them that we wanted to use the groupon an they said ok, so we let them scan it. From the beginning, they said that the entire food section of the menu we can order and for the drink portion of the groupon, it was limited to the milk tea section in the drink menu on the third to last page of the menu. So we ordered, then my friends hot pot came while I ate the Taiwanese sausage fried rice. Then our drinks came, we were impressed at first for the price of the groupon and that we can order anything on the entire menu. So we bought a bunch of groupons. Then about 4 days later, we went there again. We used the same Chinese groupon, then this woman came to us with this mean attitude and said that we cannot order anything on menu only the first page, even though on the groupon it said the entire menu. This is FALSE ADVERTISING. We complained, but they turned their head away. Most people only went there because of the groupon. We realized that the people next to us only came because of the groupon too! Also they give the bill to you before your food arrives, shouldn't the bill arrive AFTERWARDS??!!They are a very horrible place any you waste your time there. Read moreUpdate- I went to this restaurant again with a friend , and we actually ate our meals there. Portion has significantly improved, so maybe it's better to eat in? A friend told me about this newly opened TW BBT restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered Typhoon Chicken with fries and some beef stew with rice. I have to say the portion was relatively smaller than I had expected. Having visited many similar restaurants, this place by far gives the littlest portion in the same price range. The typhoon chicken was 2 pieces of chicken breast with very (and i mean very) little fries. I suspect they use the same fries as Costco because it literally tastes the same, except they added some spices to it. The beef stew with rice was okay, but bowl was half filled in the take out container, and there were only 5 pieces of beef......wow.... I went to bubble 88 and other places, they definitely gave me a lot more beef than that. Milk tea is not bad, but nothing special. I ordered 燒仙草 with red beans in it, and the red beans felt pretty hard (kinda half cooked), otherwise 燒仙草 tastes pretty good. I see potential in this restaurant, but a lot of things need to be improved, since it's quite competitive now with more and more bbt houses around. Overall, things taste nice, just the portion is a bit of a let down. On a side note, excellent service, the servers were smiley and very courteous, they tried to give me my...

If you're looking for a quick bite without sacrificing that little bit of dining charm, this corner eatery is a practical choice. We ordered the "Popcorn Chicken Combo with Noodles" + "Milk Hot Pot" set and added a side of fried calamari. The popcorn chicken portion was generous, with crispy skin covering juicy thigh meat—though the seasoning was a bit plain, missing the aromatic touch of basil that would have perfected it. The accompanying noodle soup was decent, but the hot broth provided comforting warmth.
The real surprise was the milk hot pot—the broth was creamy and soothing without being overly rich.
The drinks were definitely the highlight! The brown sugar boba milk tea had just the right sweetness, with perfectly chewy pearls that weren't too soft. While the ambiance is typical of a casual diner, the unbeatable value for money makes it...
