I work at a dealership in Marine Drive, our dealership and all of our neighbors have been loyal customers of Donair Dude for at least the past 2-3 years and we’ve been ordering food every other day, and therefore, we’re well familiar with the quality of the food, meat and all the ingredients.
About a month ago we ordered beef donairs as always for our team, and noticed that the meat was quite different than how it’s used to be (the texture, shape, taste etc.) so we ended up calling the store to let them know and talked with a polite gentleman named Bajiander, and told us that it’s mostly because we’ve gotten a Lamb order by mistake and he confirmed that the meat used is the same. And for the next few times when we ordered the meat was fine again, until today where we got the same meat again, and had to call the store again, just to get notified by the worker that they actually changed the meat and replaced it with this low quality frozen meat which comes in a form of thin layers of meat that almost tasted artificial and nothing like meat instead of the original small beef pieces that they had for over 3-4 years + and as long as we remember. We also had a chat with our 3 other next door dealerships as well and they noticed the same thing, which was very disappointing and unfortunate to see that Donair Dude is changing their meat quality which is the main part of their food.. All 3 dealerships together were ordering about 30+ donairs every 2-3 days, and we all unfortunately decided to stop getting food from Donair Dude because of this change and reducing the quality of their food which was quite unexpected to see! Let us know if you decided to go back to the same quality of food that you used to...

If it wasn’t for the sauces that they put on top, the meat itself was under seasoned
I wanted to get a salad platter, i.e. the salad base with meat on top. They don’t have the menu option for that and it took a lot of explaining for staff to understand what I wanted - half the veggies were wilted and I was shocked that they use cabbage instead of lettuce despite charging $17 for the plate
I don’t know if it was just a singular experience or if that’s the case with everyone, but I did not feel the staff were very welcoming.
Again, I don’t know if it’s just my experience, but I did not feel like they were generous with the portions. She put the tiny bit of each vegetable as if the food was coming out of her own pocket. It is demeaning for me as the customer to have to beg for more tomatoes or more cucumber.
Overall, it was an underwhelming experience. It was my first time, quite...

Slapping the spreads on and when he was being cheap with the vegetables I had to inform him that I have a large. He then proceeded to put the beef into the wrap but he didn't let the water drain first and then he proceeded with the sauces and one of them ran out without him putting anything on it and looks at me as if to say next. I said some more of that sauce and he kind of rolled his eyes and then when he did put the sauces on, I believe he over indulged a lot. My wrap was leaking water out of it like a tap and the pita was soaked, my supper ruined. I will never ever give this company my money ever again. Spend $16 on a wrap for it to fall apart soaking wet, never again. Loose the attitude and learn some customer skills. I also gave a tip and this is the service. Mediocre wrap. Had the Falafel and it's nothing too outrageous except for the price! Will probably go back sometime in the future but it will be very limited...
