Flour Dance Bakery — Restaurant in Richmond

We just happened to see this little bakery and went in. I was surprised to see the interesting flavours of bread. I selected the red bean pork fluff bread and kale pork ciabatta. Both were ultra-soft; I particularly liked the chewy texture of the ciabatta. My family loved the moist, soft tasty red bean loaf. This is a local Richmond bakery that has just opened. I will be back to try other flavours, especially the durian bread (sold out ). Thanks for the opening day free bread for those of us posting on social media and the best of luck! On another visit, there was a lineup before opening - glad they’re doing well. This time, I tried the matcha cake bread which was delicious! Also, the salted egg loaf was excellent. I arrived before opening, but it was too early because the tiramisu cake bread that I came for hadn’t arrived yet. To my disappointment, I was told that they will no longer sell ciabatta. Please...

When we walked into the store, two staff members were glued to their phones, chatting casually. One eventually acknowledged us, while the other stayed seated, scrolling endlessly. That wasn't a big issue for us. We get that everyone has off moments.

But what happened next truly shocked us. After we made a purchase and were leaving the store, we turned back and saw the staff making faces at us mocking and disrespectful. Their behaviour felt not just rude but blatantly racist. No customer deserves to be treated this way.

This kind of conduct reflects terribly on the store's standards and values. I hope management takes this seriously and implements...

Bread is super delicious and has a great texture. Each loaf though averages around $10 and sizes vary. The only thing is that they never have the full inventory in stock even if you line up at 2pm. The people are great, but communication is poor as they don't make full use of their social media platform to inform people of such. For instance, their website advertises a list of flavours, but you can never find all of them at once. Additionally, items come into the bakery at different times throughout the day so it's hard to anticipate what...
