Jimmy's Tea House — Restaurant in Richmond

Ordered the baked pork cutlet rice and the beef satay noodles. The pork cutlet rice had lots of pork in it and a lot of rice in it but the flavours weren't to our liking. Wasn't overly salty but just felt like it didn't taste like it was baked. As for the beef satay noodles, we were told to add water when we get home to ensure the noodles don't get bloated in the car ride there. The beef was tender but lacked satay flavour. It was also a little bit on the saltier side. Overall I wouldn't recommend the two dishes that I tried but I would definitely want to try the other items on the menu.

We had the house sandwich with fries and added the red bean drink. The red bean drink had lots of red bean in it and I think they used a mix of condensed and evaporated milk in it. Sweet and delicious. The house sandwich was not bad but not the best I've had. I prefer BT cafe still. The fries were a bit bland. But they do have ketchup available. We went to the Admiralty Centre for breakfast on Saturday morning. We tried to go early to get a table, and we were lucky to find one! This was my first time ordering from Jimmy's Tea House. Looking at the extensive menu, I was craving a baked pineapple bun with butter.

I ended up ordering the Value Combo A+B for $11.75, which reminded me of eating in Hong Kong--busy, well-priced, and fast. I chose A3 (freshly baked pineapple bun with butter) and B2 (satay beef noodle soup). I also added a hot HK milk tea included.

If you plan to visit this food court, I highly recommend arriving earlier in the morning. Otherwise, you'll need a keen eye and patience to spot who's about to finish eating so you can secure a table. The food court gets very busy later in the morning. You don't want to get into a fight with...

Unfriendly place for people who are not Chinese. I got my number and sat on the table right in front of the store, the lady only called the number in madarin. I understand some people can not speak English fluently but I made eye contact with her few times but she completely ignored me and did not say anything. I waited for few more minutes because i don’t want to bother people if my order is not ready yet and came to ask her about my order. The thing is I am not even ask yet, and she immediately pointed the order on the counter that been there for a while. What the point of keep repeating the order in madarin when she knew i don’t understand and sat right in front of her? This place just gives me bad vibe.
