After recently moving into the area, my husband and I have been eagerly sampling the local fare to establish our new "go-to" places. Last week, we tried the Mango and Matcha Chocolate Bingsoo. The Mango Bingsoo was SO GOOD it was actually living rent free in my head every day since I tried it.
Throughout my work week, I found myself struggling to focus as thoughts of that glorious Mango Bingsoo filled my head. I had to go back.
Today, we tried some of the savoury items. I tried the Ddeokbokki in the original sauce! The spice level was absolutely perfect - it gives you a nice, slow, intense burn but never interferes with the flavour. Editing to add the Kimbap - it was absolutely delicious! My only regret is ordering only one kind. I'm determined to try them all!
Everything was expertly prepared, the presentation was beautiful, and most importantly, the staff were absolutely lovely. I really appreciated their thoughtful approach to how they prepare their food. We're going to keep coming back until we've tried everything...
Read moreStumbled upon this place and decided to try their mixed berries bingsoo and croffle. Their croffle was great, warm and crunchy and the whipped cream they put on top did not taste like the fake canned whipped cream.
Their bingsoo was also good, but not the best I’ve had. The ice was a bit wet and seemed sweetest at the top then lost its flavour at the bottom. The fruit was not sweet (but I guess it wasn’t peak berry season) but they gave you a decent amount which was nice. It was also a bit on the pricey side for $20, I’ve been to similar places where you get more toppings or better product for around the same price or less. Service was also quite slow as it took at least 15 minutes for us to get our food.
All in all I really liked their croffle but I’d go elsewhere for my...
Read moreI first went here for bingso. With this place close to home I don’t have to go to La Forèt. I ordered Deokbokki trough Uber yesterday. It tasted ok but the rice cake was kind of tough in the center. Seemed like they were not cooked well. Update to my review: Went back with a friend. We ordered the deokbokki, kimbab and the bbongeo ppang. This time the deokbokki was excellent, the best kimbap we’ve had. A freshly made bbongeo ppang with red bean filling was served to us. Everything was delicious. My friend and I shared the food and the bill. A $15 bill for each of us and a full stomach made our night. A week after I craved for the kimbap and deokbokki so I had it Ubered. Wow, I was sent a free 3 pcs of the...
