No.9 restaurant 5300 No. 3 Road, #812, Richmond, BC V6X 2X9 I opted for a late-night meal at this location, primarily due to its 24/7 operating hours. Food: Pepper Salt Fried Squid: A standout dish and one I highly recommend. The squid arrived hot, with a crisp exterior and well-balanced seasoning. The flavors were satisfying and memorable. 9/10 Century Egg and Shredded Salty Pork Congee: Among the extensive congee offerings, I chose this variety. The congee was creamy and well-seasoned, with a generous amount of ingredients packed into a small bowl. The portion size was ideal for a light bite without being overly filling. 8/10 Ambiance: The seating was reasonably comfortable, though unremarkable. While the establishment was clean, there was an unpleasant odor lingering in the vicinity, which detracted from the overall experience. The source of the smell was unclear, but it did impact the ambiance. 5/10 Service: The service was adequate, meeting expectations but offering nothing exceptional. It aligned with what one might anticipate from an establishment of this nature. 5/10 Pricing: The pricing structure is mixed. While the congee was reasonably priced, the main dishes were slightly on the higher side. However, portion sizes were fair given the cost. Drink: Iced Almond Milk: The drink menu offers a wide selection, but I opted for the iced almond milk. It was refreshing and enjoyable. 7/10 Verdict: I would consider returning, primarily due to the convenience of the 24/7 hours and the availability of parking. The extensive menu also offers plenty of options for future visits.

Large size decent cantonese restaraunt. I think this appeals to canadians and americans and i dont recommend this for authentic chinese food. The food is okay. We ordered the pork rice noodles, eggplant and pork, bbq duck and pig, and gailan. Everything was just insanly greasy, much more than it should. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and didnt eat even when still hungry. The noodles and eggplant were greasy, with the eggplant having a huge layer of oil at the bottom, and the eggplant tasted average. The bbq duck and pig were below my expectations and quite disappointing, with not much flavour or smokiness, and the sauce was so subtle. The gailan was good but also quite oily. The eggplant also could have been a lot spicier as we requested spicy, even though thisbis cantonese not schezuan. The service was very good and the food took very quick, which can be good and bad as its rushed. The restaraunt looked like a diner with the seating looking outdated, so this is very unfancy and quite expensive. Not to mention they rush you in the beginning and ordering is stressful because there are just so many menus and so many choices. Overall disappointed but the food was good to an extent, and my family members liked it so i think 3 is appopriate. Not really bad, but average I really think this will give me a stomacache. Dont want to be coming here again. Btw the name of the restaraunt should be changed no one will recognise it.

This is absolutely the most corrupt and messed up restaurant I have ever been too. First off their was an ant in my friends food (as shown in the photo). I called the manager and he said "Haha hey watch this" and grabbed my fork to pick the ant out of my friends noodles.. I wasn't impressed obviously, and he said I can either eat it or he'll get rid of it and take it off our bill. Anyways, for some reason he put a $10 service charge on my bill? I told him this was the worst restaurant I've ever been to, and that he has no idea what he's doing as a manager. Once he got embarrassed by this, he then yelled at me and called me "a stupid idiot" instead of deescalating the situation. At this point the whole restaurant was silent and everyone started to look. Two gangsters swarmed me with punches and threatened to kill me for apparently disrespecting the manager. I proceeded to call the cops as I was being threatened and as I walked out to the front of the restaurant the manager pushed me against the wall and started to choke me with his two hands. The cops eventually arrested the manager but couldn't find the two guys as they escaped through the back of the restaurant. Twenty minutes later the manager was released as there wasn't sufficient proof of him choking me. Never go to this restaurant it is absolutely corrupt and terrible.
