I recently had the pleasure of dining at a cozy waterfront restaurant with a warm, rustic interior. The wooden beams and soft lighting created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with a view of the boats docked outside. The space felt open and bright thanks to the large windows that let in plenty of natural light, even on a drizzly day. The seafood was the star of the show. I indulged in a beautifully presented seafood platter that included scallops, oysters, and shrimp, all generously covered in garlic and finely chopped herbs. The scallops, in particular, were cooked to perfection—tender and flavorful, complemented by the mild sweetness of the garlic. The prawns were fresh and juicy, and the oysters were served with a slight tang that paired well with the overall richness of the dish. To accompany the meal, I had a glass of Russell Brewing’s beer, which added a crisp, refreshing contrast to the savory seafood. The combination of the food, drinks, and the tranquil ambiance made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. This spot is a hidden gem for seafood lovers, offering both quality and atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxed dining experience by the water.

Having tried fish and chips at other eateries in the Pacific Northwest we didn't have high expectations here. How wrong we were! The 2 piece was enormous and could have easily been a 3 piece. The fish was fried perfectly and delicately crispy with no drippy grease. The meat inside was tender and juicy and literally melted in my mouth. I could have eaten the entire fish had they presented it to me. It was so good that I will literally dream about it and hold all other fish and chips to this standard. We also ordered the soft shell crab and chicken sandwich. Or should I say chicken tower! There was so much chicken! Juicy and tender and again delicately fried. The crab was also wonderful. I could have decided the entire thing if I wasn't sharing. I don't know what their secret is but delicate, flaky, tender and juicy should be their motto. I wish I lived closer. This place is very reasonably priced. *You may have seen this review in Yelp too. It's because it's mine and I copy and pasted it here.

We were looking for a place to eat whole dungeness crab on our drive back from Vancouver to Seattle. This was the only decent place for lunch that wasn't a canto restaurant (we wanted something different). Turns out, it was a great meal!

The restaurant is actually a floating room on the water - pretty cool. Tables are lined with heavy wax paper, so feel free to make a mess.

Lobster poutine - love poutine, love lobster. What's not to like about this dish? The fries were actually really good, or rather, it's the way I like my fries. Pretty good amount of lobster. The cheese wasn't exactly right for a poutine, but what's an American got to complain about it? Definitely a great starchy appetizer to go with the crab.

Seafood medley - we were going to order two crabs, so this was a nice third entree for the 3 of us. It came piping hot and the seafood was really fresh. Nice variety too - shrimp, clams, chunks of fish, scallop, one crab leg. It's served with a nice savory tomato sauce, garlic bread (great with the seafood and sauce), and side caesar salad. Great dish!

Fresh steamed crab - definitely the must-have. I guess you can order other things on the menu like burger or fish and chips... but you have to get the crab as well. Dungeness is a great crab - easy to break down and lots of meat. All crab entrees are served with two corns, some cole slaw, and roasted potatoes. All this for $29? What a steal. I like the fresh steamed crab over the other ones with sauce because you can taste the original flavor of the crab AND it's not as messy.

Crab with scallion, ginger, and garlic sauce - this was kind of a canto preparation. Sauce was delicious, but it becomes really messy as you try to break down the crab. My hand was covered in goop the entire time. After you get the meat out, the sauce is great. Maybe you can ask for the sauce...

Went for an early mother's day dinner today, the food was pretty yuck and overpriced. When the crab platter came they served french fries instead of pan fried potatoes as advertised. They didn't inform us of the difference thinking we wouldn't notice. Only when we asked why it wasn't pan fried potatoes they said they ran out, yet on the next crab plates that came out at neighbouring tables, there they were. Also they didn't even introduce their crab options and only gave us one (while they in fact had many) after we asked. Additionally, when the platter was served no chuck bin, tongs nor extra plates were served so we had to use napkins as plates, yet, again, most of the other tables had those things. I don't know if the server just assumed that we were unknowing tourists, but that was totally unacceptable, to give differential treatment.

The fish and chips were BAAAAAD. I had trouble swallowing the fried halibut because it was so overfried and overbreaded and only slightly cheaper than Pajo's (which, btw is amazing) next door. At the end I asked the server if we could have some potatoes since we got none, not because we were still hungry but mostly to calm our anger. Fortunately he was understanding and gave us a side of potatoes to go.

But due to terrible service and yucky food, I would still...

So they other night my girlfriend and I went to stevston to have fish and chips and were going to go to one of the usuala in the the area. As we were walking to saw this location and decided to look at there menu and went in. BEST thing we ever did. It changed our mind forever! They had HANDS DOWN THE BEST fish and chips I have ever had in my life and it's been under my nose right in my neighborhood all this time and I didn't even know it! I feel so stupid. AND the portion size was two sizes of cod of fish. HUGE with fries, all for $17.99! Such value. We shared it and we're full. Not greasy, light crispy, piping 🔥, the fish was so oooo moist and tender and flaky! Beautifully presented in and bamboo steamer. I can't say enough. Not like the next next competition who's portion is pathetic and tiny, greasy and is a tourist trap and you pay double and get greasy batter and then say "oh there's some fish in here.....I'm still hungry, but this is too expensive to buy more"! Sad. Also we had there salt and pepper prawns! Omgoodess the beat I ever had. To die for ! Anyway, we can't wait to go back. It's going to be our little haunt and it a little gem in Richmond. The place is spotless and the staff is so friendly. Pls go and support them. They are...
