Good deals and a tech lover's paradise. I have two complaints though...
No one on the floor ever asks to help you. You always have to track someone down who's usually in a group of 2 or 3 employees chatting and playing with their phones.
I went to buy a floor display model TV the other day. Everything went fine until they started packing it up for transport (no original box of course). They asked me to sign a waiver before I could take the TV. The waiver basically waives my right to return the TV if there's any visible damage from transporting the tv in a way Bestbuy advised is dangerous. Or something along those lines. I had a F-150 crew cab and told them I was going to stand it up on the floor in the back seat. Tons of room, easy to position safety.. either way, they said it's company policy and I sign the paper or don't get the TV. Since I had no idea if it was damaged when they took it off the display shelf, or when they wrapped in it bubble wrap out back, I wasn't going to waive my ability to return the TV if something went wrong when I got it home. Oh, they also said they can't help me load the 65" TV into my truck (company policy) and I'd have to do it myself. Long story short, I got my money back immediately, went to COSTCO and bought the same TV no hassle. AND Costco has a bulletproof return policy.
I kindly give a 2 star rating because I have actually had a few good experiences at Bestbuy, but my most recent visit makes me think I won't be...
Read moreWe don't often visit the Walmart here. But each time we do we come away feeling disappointed. Not sure what the deal is, I've been to plenty of Wal-Marts in the US that are bright, relatively well maintained and fine to shop at. This location in East Saint John is a little dingey and clearly not getting the money it needs to get maintenance and improvements made. There was a wooden board over one of the entry windows, this trip clearly a window got smashed. There was bagged "fresh" produce in the cooler that was so far gone it had turned to brown slime. On the other hand the few interactions we've had with employees have been fine and helpful. Sure you're going to find slightly lower prices here but in fairness if you want to enjoy your grocery run you may be better off visiting the East Point Sobeys or a Superstore. Hopefully they can poor the much needed money into this place to make it...

What, no way, get me a supervisor, and she says, "Yeah, wait in that line and Well, the supervisor walked away from me . I got the manager and asked why I had to wait in a big lineup after he messed up, and she said the CSM should have gone over and did it for me. I said well she told me to wait in the line and walked away from me" The manager said no. She apologized and asked who the CSM was, and she went and talked to her. I appreciate her, but hopefully, this'll will doesn't happen again because this wasn't the first time they told me to wait in that line . But yesterday I was done with that kind of service 😒. The manager was talking to CSM when I left, so...
