Sunset Grill — Restaurant in Saint John

In line for exactly 7 minutes and a couple came in behind me and we stood there for a few more minutes and the waitress came up and said to me I’ll just seat these people and be right back to me. Never came back. clearly not interested in the fact that I was only one person seated them, gave them coffee, and I was still standing there Asked one of the other waitresses why I wasn’t seated and she said well we’re very busy and I said I was here before those people and she said I’ll just clear a table and the waitress who at first came to me to see the people behind me just walked by me and I asked her why she seated them first and she said I was told they were here first and I said who told you and she wouldn’t answer me and I said I was clearly here before them and you obviously ignored me because I was just one person and she really never apologize or anything very inappropriate And uncalled for. -0 rating for your appalling staff. I really love the food here but today they wouldn’t allow me to bring my own drink to the table because it was a liability. Apparently I could get sick from my drink that already has a good portion in my stomach. I wasn’t allowed to even bring my water bottle in. Probably won’t come back because of this awkward experience.

Edit: I can’t in good faith keep this review below a 4 star. The staff is super friendly, the food is consistently great. Besides the weird liability policy and awkward experience I had this place is one of the best Saint John has to offer when it comes to breakfast. Keep doing...

We went here for the 1st time and thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I loved the pancakes and my eggs were just how I like them, coffee was very good and you get very generous portions so go hungry!! They were busy and short staffed & Ashley our waitress apologized for any delays, there was just her and the chef ( I didn't get his name) but we didn't find mush of a wait at all. Ashley had to take payment as well as wait tables and she was doing a great job and the chef turned out food orders very efficiently.
