I am quite disappointed with not only online purchasing, but also this retail location.
Purchased an laptop here today and was informed it'd need a reset, not a problem. I get a call approx 30 minutes later just as I'd arrived back to school, I came back to pick it up. Returning to school with it to find out not only was it not reset, they neglected to even check if it was reset in the first place. Brought it back and was told "It'll just take a couple hours." I checked back on the way home 3 hours later, I can see the box containing my laptop through a window they have in their office, my laptop nowhere to be seen on the bench so this leads me to believe it's still in the box. The bench had 2 laptops on it when I dropped it off. Upon inquiring about my laptop I was told "It's still GOING" insinuating they began the process... Outright lie to my face.
It is currently 7 hours since then. I've called a few times and have been told now that it'll probably be tomorrow before it'll be done.
I've personally done many resets on computers and laptops, when I offered to do the reset myself if I was provided the admin login password I was turned down. Factory resets, even when needing to reinstall windows, takes no more than 3 hours. I hate to be the whiner, but this service is just plan unacceptable. I will not be shopping here...

They were scheduled to come to our house to install it on Feb 14th - 2 weeks after the purchase. My husband took the afternoon off from work so that he would be here for when tehy arrived. When he heard nothign from them by 1PM he called the store to confirm they were coming. He was told that the person who does the installations was out and if we were on the list - they would be at our house. Since we made the appointment - he waited out the afternoon. NOBODY SHOWED UP AND NOBODY CALLED TO SAY THEY WEREN"T SHOWING UP. when I came home from work I called the store to find out what was going on. After 45 minutes of trying - someone FINALLY answered the phone. they said they would look into it and get back to us. over an hour later they called and said that the installation had been cancelled in their computer. Today we are returning the security system - they can shove it up their A$$. all the electronics that were stolen from our home - WE WILL NOT BE REPLACING ANY OF THEM AT FUTURE SHOP! I'm not sure how a computer can cancel an appointment all by itself - since a human has to enter the information into it... but we are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreon Sept 15th I went into Best Buy to look at a computer for my sister as a Christmas Present, I was told that we could not set up the computer our self, that Best Buy Geek Squad must do it but we were lucky as they were all caught up so the computer could be ready in 6 hours. As we didn't live in Saint John we told them we would be back in the morning and to call us when it was ready. waited but no call so called them and they final;y said it would be ready within the hours. Well that didn't happen, had to wait a couple of hours, felt they had not even started to set it up. My sister wanted to buy the membership$19.99 and gave them her credit card, however after I got home discovered they had charged me. My total bill was $489.30, which would have been fine but it was one thing after another of excuses. It was not a pleasant purchase for me even though it was a present. I should have known better I never go to Best Buy in Markham (where I live) the awful service is the same here so I use Staples or the Shopping Channel. Unbelievable bad service. Never again, I just hope my sister is very happy with her...
