Laid back Sunday night decided to order Indian, choosing Black Pepper based on a little research. Huge let down, I'm an avid consumer and a bit of a connoisseur of Indian and Pakistani food based on my experiences from around Canada and the world. We ordered fish pakora (7/10), naan (7/10), side rice (5/10), Chefs butter chicken (5/10), and saagwala (2/10). Above all the biggest let down considering everything in the dinner was $60 was the amount of food! The main courses showed up in tiny little styrofoam cups, I could have gotten over this if the quality had been there. The butter chicken was more sweet then anything and the saagwala (primary spinach) was terriable. The dish had nothing but the pungent taste of raw spinach, proving this dish hadn't been cooked property at all. Theres no reason why $60.00 shouldn't be enough to provide a delivered meal for two. Plenty of potential here, cook and create in line with your goal "serve you (the paying customer) authentic Indian cuisine"....
Appreciate the response however at this time I'm not willing to take that chance....
Read moreThat Indian/ desi lady host needs to change her attitude. Worst ever. Again I am changing my rating for this place. From 4 stars to 3. I used to think this is the best place for indian food! But sadly i had to change my opinion! I ordered food from this place and they delivered! But the food was cold, taste was off! I don't know if they changed their cook since the last time i ate their in july but food was awful- quality has gone down! Then I went recently to this place and they had buffet. THE WORST in saskatoon. Only three options for vegetarians. They were reluctant in filling the empty trays. The server was nice. But The Indian / desi lady god knows what's wrong with her. She was the rudest person I have ever seen in any restaurants. She was the worst host I have ever met. No greetings, only came to fill the trays after repeatedly asking for it and then just dumped the pakodas in a very disintested way! Never going back there. One star for...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went here for supper and had a wonderful time. The food is absolutely amazing - the best pakora I've had in Saskatoon! The server, Cinna/Sinna (sorry I don't know how to spell it) was so great at her job. She gave us great recommendations for what to eat, went the extra mile to make sure my drink was extra sour (Im pregnant and I have super strong cravings for sour stuff!), and was very prompt and welcoming. The place was very busy, almost too small for how many people came in, and she managed to serve everyone very well, as well as help all the Skip the Dishes courriers that came in. I was honestly blown away by how well she managed everything. I truly enjoy this place and will be coming here again, as well as recommending it...
