Royal Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Me and my girlfriend went here for Christmas Eve, service was terribly slow even though there were only 2 tables being served. Asked for a Kokanee, was brought a Corona. Told the server I had asked for Kokanee to which she replied they didn't have any. They didn't even bother to let me know they didn't have that beer and immediately brought me a drink I didn't request. Ordered crab rangoon which was mostly cream cheese with barely any crab inside. I also ordered a vermicelli noodle bowl thinking that was a safe bet, but it had to be the worst noodle bowl I've ever had. The spring rolls tasted bad including the bbq pork and cabbage used it in. I had a labatt light in a can, there was this weird white residue on top of the can which I had to clean off before opening. DO...

I won't be back. Waitress was hard to talk to, not good English and she didn't seem to know what was in the dishes. Ordered a green curry, green beans with beef, and coconut rice. The rice didn't taste like coconut at all. The curry was more a soup. Both the curry and the beef dish had frozen carrots and beans that tasted terrible; when we mentioned this to the waitress, she told us this is Saskatchewan, that all we have here. The veg tasted like they had been thawed then refrozen a few time. I live here and carrots are cheap, frozen green and yellow beans taste good at my house. We couldn't eat 2/3 of the beef dish because of the veg. Oh and the worst thing was that everything was pretty much cold when it arrived...

So very very very disappointed with Royal Thai restaurant this morning. A large order was placed yesterday for an 11:45 am delivery today at City Hospital and they changed the time of delivery without any notification. 17 staff members were gathered for a celebration and there was no food! They would not cancel our order and staff had to buy a "2nd lunch", they refused to refund our money which we requested and insisted on delivering our food which arrived 1 1/2 hours late.
