Prairie Donair Downtown — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Absolutely disgusting and will not be back. I walk in and the woman working tells me to wait a minute as she’s waiting for a phone call on her cell phone, which i have no problem with. So I wait a couple minutes and as I’m waiting I notice how messy the kitchen is and the gross cardboard thats lined on the shelves. She comes back to take my order and puts on the clear throw away gloves that are used for safe food handling, then asks what my order is. I tell her and then her phone rings so she answers it (wearing the gloves) then proceeds to send a text off which obviously isn’t easy with the gloves on. She’s done texting now and re-asks me what my order is so I tell her and she goes over to the beef and cuts some off. Then picks it up with the same gloves she’s been using her phone with. Clearly this location doesn’t care about food safety or cleanliness. Had I stayed I would have seen her shove those hands into all the vegetable bins and cross contaminated them as well. Great deal with the food and drink just a quick place to stop eat and also able to recharge my cell phone very convenient for issues with normal life ,,I am going to be there for munchies when needed after a nice hike and also great people u meet out there on Saskatchewan River trails in some areas but watch out for the crazies out there all into meth , so watch your back I've had too deal with this no cops out in bush never seen any only at u of s area but still nice to...

Usually a very long wait. Food has been wildly inconsistent. Sometimes quite good, others quite bad. Noticed that overall portions have shrink considerable. I.e. a large Donair at Afghan and PD used to be similar for virtually same price, now PD is close to half the size for a large Donair and slightly more expensive now.

Flavour is okay, but often ratios of veggies are all over the place. This last one just tasted like onion. Couldn't taste much for sauce...
