A restaurant that is very much in the process of still getting settled into the space. It has a very mismatched home brew vibe to it but we will get to that later.
Food is 6/10 for us. We ordered the wonton soup, $5, chicken pad Thai $10, and two egg rolls $2.50 each.
The wonton soup was fairly lack luster, had an almost Campbell chicken soup broth and the wonton was very under seasoned. The predominant taste was salt, to the point the last 1/4 was a struggle to eat. It had very little texture or body.
The chicken pad Thai was ordered at a medium spice, tasty, good texture contrast but fair sparse on other ingredients. Without the spice it would be very salt forward. Kind of middle of but would order again.
The egg rolls were excellent for the most part and oddly light. The one downside because the filling was a bit more loose it was odd to eat at points.
Drinks are pretty much a fail here. Unfiltered harsh city water and very bad coffee, by far the worst in the city. I could write an essay on its faults but will just say don't order it if you value anything besides the caffeine hit.
Service was 7/10 attentive enough, fairly friendly but the staff organization was all over the place made you feel unsure where to start. Hopefully as the business matures it will sort out.
Ambience 2/10 they have been in the spot for a few months but still feel very just moved in and there really isn't much decor to speak of. Mismatched basic plates, random things around and raw sound treatment on the walls. It doesn't really have a vibe that says come in and relax. Definitely more of a take out place feel.
Over all we will be back to try a few more things and see how it progresses from here. Just will skip...
Read moreWe chose this place because we wanted to eat a good dish that will go well with rice being asian 😀. Walking from a free 2 hr parking lot nearby, the town was empty so we were surprised to see quite a number of tables filled with customers at 230pm. The serving wait time was reasonable, staff were courteous. We ordered their Lil’s special fried rice ($17) which was tasty & had a lot of ingredients added like shrimps, pork, chicken, egg etc. Then we also ordered the deep fried spring rolls which were 12 small pcs per order of $8. and they were crunchy & delicious. We also ordered the sweet & sour pork with pineapple ($24) which we just found to be a bit bland. Basically it looked like boiled pork meat, sliced thinly into strips then added to a sweet sour sauce with sauted aromatics such as garlic, onion, red bell pepper &...
Read moreA friend and I ate here during lunch on a Friday. It wasn’t crowded & we were greeted soon after entering the restaurant. I ordered Vegetarian Pad Thai without eggs and an egg roll. Everything is cooked to order and hot upon arrival. I wish there were more veggies in my dish, but despite that, it tasted great. It was covered in crushed peanuts when I first got it, but in my photo, they’re mixed in. Lil came out to make sure we were happy with our food. What a nice touch! The prices are decent & the portions are HUGE. I had enough leftover for 2 more meals! I can’t wait to go back. There’s a free parking lot on the side/in back of the restaurant. 👍🏼👍🏼
I brought my husband the next day and ordered a veggie spring roll & vegetable pancit. Both were delicious and the pancit was a huge portion. You’ll always have...
