After seeing the young Irishman on Tik Tok review the scones from this little shop I just had to try them. I caught them open on a Friday and from the minute I stepped into the shop I was enchanted. From the fun decor that made me feel like I was walking into a fairy tale, to the friendly welcome, I was immediately delighted and spellbound. One big problem though! How does anyone decide on just one? So I splurged and bought two small ones that were calling my name. Salted caramel and Earl grey. I thought they may be dry as I traditionally have eaten scones with butter. But the way these are prepared are divine as they have a drizzle on top that compliments the flakey dough that has clearly been baked with love and determination to make the best scone ever! Treat yourself to this lovely little gem in the quaint village of Sidney. You won’t forget it. I’ll go back in a heartbeat. Great job Sidney Scones. You far exceeded my expectations. 💕 Thank you for the...
Read moreChelsey has done for scones what Chris Bianco did for pizza. Amazing perfection in every bite. I stopped here with my aunt on a trip up from the state of Washington and I would happily return to Vancouver Island just to have these scones. I'm pretty sure they are made by fairies, because they are magical. The vanilla bean Earl grey scone and the Salted Caramel Apple scone were amazing. Some of the sweeter scones were better as a dessert than a breakfast. This shop was a culinary delight and these weren't just the best scones I've ever had, but some of the best baked goods I've ever put in my mouth. I brought 18 back to the United States with me to put in my freezer (they keep for about 3 month). They taste freshly baked with just a short warm up in the oven, and I’m trying to figure out who in my life might be “scone worthy” because these are too good not to share. And yes, once they are gone I will happily drive and ferry back. All other scones are ruined for me and I...
Read moreOkay, on one hand, I’m SUPER stoked Sidney gets a gem like this. On the other, however, I just so happen to reside near downtown, so discovering this place was like “oh… oh no, I’m about to use a lot more gas!” 😂 mainly because I think for the first time ever, there wasn’t a single thing on their menu that I didn’t want to try. I need to come back and try everything! The space is SO unique and cute, the trinkets everywhere made my entire day. I stopped in for bubble tea specifically and I was NOT disappointed, the tapioca pearls were so soft and DELISH! better than alot of the options I have downtown. In terms of scones, my boyfriend usually doesn’t like scones. He really liked these. To the point we almost turned around half way down the Pat Bay to go get more.
This is going to become my “going to the ferry” staple as my roots lie on salt spring island and I go to Swartz often.
If you’ve been considering it - trust me. Go!...
