We arrived at around 2:30pm. There were 4 people in-line ahead of us with one employee frantically trying her best to make sure everyone was happy. There was another employee (who we later found out was actually the manager) loudly talking on his cell phone in the back room. We waiting in line for 25 minutes as he continued to ignore his customers and his employee’s need for help before being served. As our food was being made, the manager finally thought to check-in and asked if his employee was okay, to which she responded simply with “No”. At this point he told her that “she’d be okay” and walked away. Why would you ask if someone is okay when you had no intention of doing anything about it? As we sat down to eat, I first noticed that the tables were covered in food and had not been cleaned. If the manager is going to hide from customers and not help their staff, at least take time to make sure your restaurant is clean. At around 3pm, the manager finally came out to assist customers as the employees shift was ending. As he half-listened to his customer’s order, a woman (I assume his partner) approached the counter and starting showing off the baby clothes she just purchased.
This is not the first time I’ve witnessed this behaviour in this location, but it will definitely be the last.
To the employee that made our lunch: you’re great and I hope your manager can learn...
Read moreI had one of the most unpleasant experiences at this Subway. I originally got my order on Sunday, and it was made completely wrong by one of the staff members. I spoke to the manager, who was very polite and offered me a remake for the sandwich. When I went back to get it remade, the same person who messed up my order was the one making it again.
When I politely pointed out what was wrong with my previous order, he started arguing with me instead of just fixing it. He kept minimizing the issue, saying things like “oh come on, it’s not that big of a deal,” which felt extremely dismissive and unprofessional. His tone was very misogynistic — I’m a paying customer, not his friend, and being spoken to like that was completely unacceptable.
On top of that, he didn’t change his gloves while making a veggie sandwich, which is concerning since people have dietary restrictions and personal preferences. He also didn’t even remember what his own manager had written down on the note for my remake — I had to remind him myself.
Overall, the experience was disrespectful and uncomfortable. The manager handled things properly, but this employee’s attitude and behavior were absolutely unacceptable. Subway needs to take this seriously and train their staff better on customer service, hygiene, and...
Read moreWoman who worked there with some weird coloured hair tried to overcharge me for my sub as a premium even though everywhere I go charges me as a classic. on top of that she adds on extra cheese to the amount. Then when I tell inform her that it should be a classic and I didn't ask for extra cheese. She gives me attutude then takes off the extra cheese then tries to still charge me for a premium though. So I just took my money and left.
I've bought a salami sub from Nanaimo bc to Quebec and I've always been charged as a pizza sub. I'm not being charged for a Italian bmt when I only get salami and a bmt has salami and ham. And I know for a fact the salami and the pepperoni cost the same and I get the same amount of meat as I would on a pizza so logically I should be charged the same.
This is the same girl who told me a previous time I was there that she couldn't give me less sauce on my meatball sub because she was to lazy to take the extra second and hit some sauce off the spoon. I had to instruct her how to get sauce off a spoon in order for her to do it. And it wasn't even busy. Can't be bothered to go...
