My wife and I stopped in for a lunch date before seeing Rent.

We started with the Charred Onion Dip. The plating was beautiful. The dip was served cool which was unexpected to me, I should have asked or clarified. We cleaned out the bowl, so the taste was good. The flavours were not as interesting as the name and presentation suggested, this was chips and dip. I appreciated having some raw veggies to dip.

The salmon tartare was the most interesting dish. The flavour profile was accurate to chaat, the Indian Street food, but raw salmon is not a typical ingredient! It worked perfectly in taste and texture - a creative pairing.

The duck confit wings were good. The presentation was beautiful, as it was with everything here. And also as everything we tried, the flavour was not particularly elevated, the wings were sweet but I didn't find them interesting.

We finished with the sticky toffee pudding sundae. No complaints, the pecans were nice, and it all worked together, a delightful dessert.

All in all, the presentation was great, the service was cordial if a bit slow, and the food was good without a standout dish in terms of flavour. Pricing was...

Bluebird is one of the most amazing restaurants I have been to in a very long time. Their style of service and attention to detail is incredible. I came with a group and they were able to accommodate our group without any issue. Our server, Francis... the most attentive and the most lovely person. Dan, the other server was so knowledgeable an helpful (as was Francis). Since we were 5, we ordered a ton of apps to share but what stood out was their special, Hamachi tuna crudo. The beef cheek and the pickerel were incredible and well balanced. Every dish was incredible. Chef Aaron Linley knocked it out of the park with this incredible menu. Their wine list is one to envy in Toronto. It's has something for everyone and is exceptionally curated by the owner.

I live in Toronto and this is a restaurant I would sit in traffic for 4+ hours to get to.

Already planning my next visit to Stratford to experience this exceptional...

Had a reservation at a different restaurant where we were completely ignored. Ended up leaving there and coming accross the Bluebird. We did not have a reservation and they were quite busy but they managed to find us a table and we were extremely thankful as we were now VERY hungry. We ordered the spring rolls and we each got a burger and fries and I kid you not, one of the best burgers we have EVER eaten. Our server was incredibly bubbly and kind and super attentive and made drink suggestions. We told her about our experience at the previous restaurant and I feel like she really made it a point to turn our evening around and she did it with so much grace and empathy. We will tell anyone and everyone about our experience here. The food was on point, our server was wonderful and the ambience was perfect. If you are reading this review, PLEASE do yourself a favour and come here. We...

Came here for dinner after watching a show at the Stratford Festival and had a really lovely meal. We ordered the yellow perch cha ca la vong, lamb chops, scallops, sticky toffee pudding, passion fruit crème brûlée and a brewed ice tea. Everything was very delicious with lots of interesting flavours in each dish. Service was attentive and the restaurant had a comfortable dining atmosphere. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Something I would definitely suggest is making a reservation to ensure your table. We were seated next to the door during our visit. This restaurant was so popular that every single walk-in was turned away because they were entirely booked up.
