Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Surrey

My wife who is a kidney care patient and has been working so hard to recover from her illness, was given the green light to have a small treat from DQ to celebrate her recent accomplishment. She ordered something she hadn’t had in a very long time; a strawberry sundae. When she noticed that DQ used the strawberry gel instead of the real strawberry syrup, knowing she couldn’t have any artificial colours, she politely apologized for her mistake and asked the employee if she could order a hot fudge sundae instead. We knew it was our error and repeatedly apologized. She was INCREDIBLY RUDE, and never once asked us what we’d like to do. We would have happily paid for another one, but unbelievably she kept saying “it’s your fault, you knew what you were ordering!?!? Oh my goodness!? I have never EVER been treated so badly before!!! Just offer another one at full price, we would have smiled and been on our way…. So SHAMEFUL Dairy Queen, Suraiya, the employee should apologize for her lack of professionalism. People should be more understanding and kind. You never know what people are going through, man, have a heart. NEVER patronizing this place again. And the toilets were backed up with poop and the flusher was broken and on the floor....

Update I passed by that Dairy Queen and saw that they shut down which is good because their service was terrible! It’s should be minus starts this place doesn’t deserve any star!! I went in with my mom today and ordered a strawberry julis and got a strawberry smoothie or something else and when I tried to tell the manager that I got the wrong drink she started to argue and saying that all the customers just want free food which was not even my fault and she was said that I was wrong because I don’t know what I wanted even though whenever I go to Dairy Queen that’s the only thing I order for myself because I only like this strawberry from day 1 but the manager was really really rude and so I just left my drink on the table and didn’t bother arguing back so I left. While I was leaving there was another customer who ordered something and got something else and the manager was saying that it wasn’t their fault which it was!! Ordered a poutine and chicken wrap, after waiting for like 15 minutes they finally gave me my order. Even though i got the food to go, i decided to sit and eat a bit. The tortilla of the wrap was uncooked, like i took one bite and could barely eat it since it wasnt even heated. They changed it and gave a new one to me. The tortilla appeared to be edible but not warmed at all, there was ice burg lettuce the amount of 2 pennies, the sauce was so scarce that one would need a microscope to actually see it and there was barely any shredded cheese in it. I told the cashier this and she argued thats how we prepare it. Well heres news to you folks, I sure would never pay 2 pucks let alone 4 bucks for this kind of a wrap. The poutine that i took to go barely had any gravy in it and the fries seemed to have been sitting for goodness knows how many hours.
