Fatburger Grandview Central — Restaurant in Surrey

The girl behind the counter was dour for lack of a better word. Having never been to Fatburger I didn't know how to order or what to expect on my burger. The girl was very monotone, robotic almost, no emotion. She did not speak very loudly so I had to get her to repeat things. The burger itself was weird tasting, something not quite right; my burger was just mayo, cheese and raw onions. It didn't take long for the burger & they bring it to your table. The restaurant itself was clean; not very busy, maybe 6-8 younger people at a table celebrating the end of the school year (well behaved, not rowdy or loud, kudos to them 😊) & 2 people coming in as I was going out. The washrooms aren't marked (the typical men/women signage) & were locked but not a employee in sight so I used the wheelchair access washroom as the door was propped open; the door didn't sit in the frame properly, there was space under the door and up the side of the doorknob. I prayed the lock worked & nobody rattled the knob trying to get into the washroom. Overall, a poor "first impression", I have no intention of going back any time soon, if ever. Note: I only had a burger, no fries no drink, nothing, just the burger and it was almost $10. Oh, and the tip container was a bit off-putting as it had 2 sections: one for large tips (for bills I'm guessing) and small tips (coins). And no, I'm not going to complain about the price vs product. It's a sign of the times we're in right now...bills need to be paid, employees need a fair wage to survive...I get it but as a low income (apparently) senior eating out has become a...

I never leave reviews for places I visit but my experience here left such an impression I decided to do so.

On November 26th, at 8:20 I came in to get some dinner with a friend. The lady that was working at the register was very unfriendly and obviously in a hurry to get out of the restaurant. She was very insistent on us getting takeout even though I was originally wanting to eat in, it was very cold outside and I did not want to eat in my car. I didn’t know what time the restaurant closed and I was told they were closing in 15 minutes so I decided to do takeout as she had asked. I didn’t want to be intrusive…

We got our food and asked for extra ketchup, to which she seemed very annoyed and antagonistic when getting it for us. We ate at the bench outside the restaurant and finished our meal at around 8:45, we had learned that the restaurant closed at 9, and not 15 minutes after 8:20 as she said. We Came back in and dropped off our food, and she stared and again was generally unfriendly.

I love fatburger and always come to eat at this location. I’m a server myself as well and I can understand the frustrations and issues the staff have to deal with. But that experience and interaction was completely and utterly unacceptable and I do hope something is...

Update: 2025-June

Wow, in the last three times we've been here, this place stinks. Like the toilet in the whole store??? Also there is definitely a sanitary issue going on aside from the stink, the staff are not using gloves and no hand washing before handling my burgers, not the way it was when they first opened. Not sure about other locations but this location is definitely a no-no now unfortunately. I really liked the union rings and the lettuce bun...

Not going to go to this location again unless they fix this considering it has been like this in the last several times and seems to be getting worse each time we tried.

Breakfast served until 4pm! Did not know and was very surprised with the whole meal for my lunch!

Eggs were perfectly done, hash was seasoned perfectly and just the right bite size, and the 2 pancakes were thin but huge while soft and soaks up the butter and syrup 😂!

Service was great, friendly happy 😎 taking care of the place.

Will definitely be back for...
