Fake food I’m still pretty new to south Surrey and all the places to eat here. This place has by far probably been my worst experience so far. After arriving when they said the food would be ready I was treated like I wasn’t there and made to wait another 15 min. with my baby. Very rude staff, a young man who treated me like I was very out of place. It wasn’t until about the fourth or fifth time walking past me , and after I had already said I was there to pick up, that he asked if I was there picking up.. yet kept saying it would be jsut a minute the other times he walked past. Mind you there is legit NOONE in this restaurant… maybe two tables I could see. They kept just blowing me off I almost walked away But we were hungry and I already had walked all the way there with my kiddo. I didn’t want to be rude and walk away cancelling my order… But I really should have because the food was just awful! I had two different dishes with chicken and the chicken seemed completely different in each dish, not like chicken meat. As well as I ordered a beef dish and the beef seemed like pork or a completely different meat… I would question where they source their meat from.. because I have a sneaky feeling it is not sourced from within our country. I would suggest to pass by this place and go somewhere else like the Kami Japanese restaurant if you want a good...
Read moreThis is Faux Pho, in my opinion! While the atmosphere is nicer and more modern than most pho restaurants, the food is overpriced and terrible, coupled with rude service. I've been eating pho since I was very young so I know what good pho should taste like, and this isn't it! To me the broth in my chicken pho tasted like it came from a pre-made powder, the chicken was tough and overcooked, and even though I'd ordered extra meat there was barely any, and was mostly all noodles. I even had to ask for the bean sprouts when the soup came to the table, and they had no Thai basil or sliced lemon. My guest ordered the house special sirloin beef pho, and she showed me how little meat was in it, and it too was tough and grisly, and basically inedible. For the $17.50 her soup cost and the $21.20 for mine with the supposed extra meat, I felt very ripped off! The server even overcharged me for the shrimp salad rolls we started out with with a similar higher priced item (okay only $1 more, but it's the principle here). What a lot of money for a terrible meal, coupled with very rude servers. I will stick with Five Corners Vietnamese restaurant where the food, the service, and the price always leave...
Read moreThis is the most modern pho place I've been to. I had the #9 Pho Steak, Brisket, Beef Balls and it was delicious! The meat was soft yet tender, and the broth was perfectly balanced, not sweet or sour. That amazed me. It was perfectly balanced, as all things should be! If I come here again I want to try other menu items as their menu is quite large and full of variety, and it looks good.
In regards to the decor, it was quite cool to see a modern pho establishment. Comfortable air conditioning inside. The washroom is clean, I just with the stall door opened outward instead of inward because when open it you kind of get stuck in-between the door and toilet, and who wants to rub up on a toilet? But that's not the reason we go to restaurants right? We go because of the food! The food was spot on, I really enjoyed my meal here, I will keep this place in mind in...
