Absolutely horrendous service. I'm Turkish myself and I was finally looking forward to a good turkish restaurant with good turkish food and a proper dining experience, as it looked great on social media. I was also fasting for the month of ramadan and wanted to break my fast.
Me and my gf were sat at the front where all the servers would pass by from. No one came to take our order, even though they had multiple servers that could see us looking around to order from someone. One just stood there looking past us. We asked her to order and she said someone would help us soon but no one came. We asked again to another server and ordered. They were missing a lot of the food choices, especially what I was looking forward to which was the iskender kebab but that's okay since they said they're new and are waiting for equipment and ingredients to come by.
We got our appetizers which were just pre-prepared dips so it was quick but after that we waitied for over an hour and still received no food. We had several waitresses pass by us and none had the courtesy to check in with us or even acknowledge us. They didn’t even look at us. Again we were at the front where the waitresses would enter and leave the kitchen from. Only one checked in but that was after a long while and she was suprised we didn't receive our food. She didn't even know. She said she'll check in but we still didn't receive anything long after that. We heard other people complain as well. Someone hadn't received there food for a while even though others in there table had. Another one said "I think you forgot about us" to them as they didn't even take their order.
Every worker, especially the servers were confused, trying to figure out who ordered what and which table to take the food to. Me and my gf actually got a headache from all the chaos.
One older waitress also took my tea without saying anything, when I still had a little bit left. not sure if she knew english as she didn't take orders, but mainly brought out orders to and from the kitchen. I thought maybe she took it to refill it but I didn’t receive anything so I asked another waitress and she said they don't do refills but brought me one anyways since it was their mistake.
I was starving since I was fasting but we were fed up so we decided to leave. I asked for the bill to the same girl we intially requested to order from. Waited a bit and doubted she would even bring us the bill so we went to the front to pay. They finally brought my dish but we refused to have it. They also brought a dish for my gf but it wasn't even the food she ordered. She ordered the lamb shank and they brought her the lamb chops because they didn't have the lamb shank. They tell us this as they bring in the food????? We refused that as well and just left. I was going to pay for the dips and teas but one of the workers (I believe the manager) said it was on her and didn't accept the payment which was nice on her part.
Overall, I'm just extremely disappointed. These people are representing our country but this was just embarrassing. Most waitresses were cold and rude. Definitely don't recommend...
Read moreHands-down the best & most authentic Turkish cuisine outside of Turkiye!!! This is a fairly new restaurant and we’ve already eaten there multiple times. The ambience is beautiful, food looks and tastes AMAZING!!! I had the Urfa kebab which is not spicy and is perfectly flavourful, and my husband had the Adana kebab which has a tiny bit of heat! The kebabs were so juicy and everything was super fresh! We also loved the ayran (traditional yogurt drink), it was cold, frothy and refreshing! For dessert we had the sultan kunefe, which is to die for!!! I do recommend eating the kunefe fresh when it is crispy. If you take it home, it loses the crispness from the steam. The small size is perfect and more than enough for one person. Even though the restaurant has been very busy every time we have gone, their place is kept very clean and service top notch. One of the hostesses, Derya, was super attentive to us, frequently filling up our drinks or wiping up our table even without us asking. Despite being very busy, she always kept a smile on her face, was polite & professional. I noticed she was like this with the other tables as well. Although it’s a newer place, you can tell she’s experienced in the hospitality and service industry with her care and attention to detail. The restaurant starts getting busy after 6:30pm we’ve noticed, so if you like quieter crowds, I suggest going earlier at 5:30pm, the food is definitely worth it! Location of restaurant is great, with lots of parking and it is easy to get to. We also ordered take-out one time, and even then, the food was kept warm and fresh when we got home. This is a fabulous restaurant worth experiencing, I guarantee you will go back for seconds...
Read moreWe visited this Turkish restaurant for a family holiday dinner, looking forward to a warm and flavorful experience — unfortunately, it ended up being quite mixed. We ordered the mixed kebab platter for two, a green salad, shalgam drink, ayran, and a few extras. The green salad was easily the highlight — fresh, vibrant, and well-seasoned. The shalgam drink was decent but surprisingly bland, missing that usual tangy kick. The ayran was refreshing and well-balanced. As for the mixed kebab platter, we were disappointed. Most of the meats were slightly overcooked, especially the Adana kebab, which ended up dry. The chicken shish was passable, but nothing special. The lahmajoon lacked flavor entirely — it tasted like a flatbread with nothing going on. The most frustrating part was that lamb chops, which were on the menu, were substituted with döner without notice, and the döner was dry and flavorless. To add to that, we ordered garlic yogurt, but it never arrived. Customer service left a lot to be desired. We had to actively check and verify our own order, and calling a server over required some serious patience. It felt like you had to work hard just to be heard. On a positive note, the interior was nicely decorated and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. However, the noise level was extreme — it was so loud we could barely hear each other speak. Final Thoughts: This place has potential, especially with its ambiance and some of the drinks, but the execution — from food to service — really fell short. Not sure we’d return, at least...
