Share tea is usually my go-to place for bubble tea but I recently had a really bad experience. Nothing related to their customer service as they are great.
This experience I had recently was quite alarming. I understand it’s not entirely their fault, but whoever is in charge of Checking the quality of the products should take accountability for not doing their job diligently. This experience has definitely put me off from going there for a while or not purchasing from them at all. It might be time to find a new bubble tea place to go to.
On Friday, October 13th, 2023, I went to Sharetea Guildford and I bought 4 drinks. One of the drinks was an iced green milk tea with no toppings. I drank the bubble tea right when I got home and when I got to about the last quarter of the drink, I noticed something crunchy. I thought it was extremely odd as I did not get any toppings and it was not the texture of ice.
I spat it out right away and I was disgusted to see what I had bit into. I looked down at what I spat into the sink and it was a bee/ insect with wings of some sort! It was extremely unsettling.
I was disgusted and sick at what I had experienced.
This is completely unacceptable and does not meet health regulations in food safety in restaurants and food retail.
In this post, I have included a photo of the drink that I ordered and what came out of that drink.
Sharetea Guildford, check your products before using them please. This has completely put me off from buying...
Read moreSharetea employees need to understand how to differentiate orders made for their classic iced brewed teas and their iced milk teas. While I respect the employees and their dedication to serving orders on the daily, on multiple occasions through phone orders or food delivery, drink confirmations for their brewed teas have been inaccurate through and through.
A small question of “Did you want an Iced Brewed Tea or Iced Milk Tea?” with their classic teas listed on their menu like Black Tea, Green Tea or Oolong Tea goes a long way to ensure that employees are on the same level with customers, implementing accurate orders from their menu and maintaining consistency across the board.
This is hard to identify to employees over the counter, even when clarifying if the drink is the correct one. One that is lacking the confirmation that employees simply forget to ask.
Customers have been able to visually see their drinks with a clear Sharetea cup. Since then, they have now opted to swapping out their Clear plastic cups with Pink covered cups - making it difficult to visually track incorrect drinks or missing toppings that customers paid for.
In the past years ordering at the Guildford location, I’ve been grateful with former Sharetea employees calling customers to confirm if this drink selection/topping is correct. Customer service is favoured and warrants more customers to visit again. This is something new employees are...
Read moreWe had recently had an experience at Sharetea Guildford that started out not so great as one of our drinks that was ordered (black tea) had milk in it. Because it was ordered through Uber Eats, receiving a drink with milk and having allergies was not so pleasing. This was also during the snowstorm, so we could not go out and pick up another drink, neither did we want to reorder and pay another delivery fee (I was pretty upset). HOWEVER, I wanted to emphasize how wonderful the manager, Andy, had rectified the situation. He wasn't in on the day we ordered, but he had taken the time to call us back (the next day). He didn't just apologies for the error but was sincerely empathetic on how we felt when orders online doesn't go as you planned. Although we appreciated him offering us a gift card and free drink, it was the true acknowledgement of the error, genuinely understanding our frustration, and his willingness to learn from the error was what had impressed us. You can easily see the passion he has for his business and wants to genuinely improve on their services. Had it not been for the original mistake, this place would have gotten a 5. Drinks here are great. I would just recommend when you order through Uber Eats or Skip, really emphasize your custom order (especially with an allergy) in...
