I had an extremely disappointing experience with this restaurant and Uber Eats. I ordered a pizza under a buy one, get one free deal, but mistakenly thought the free pizza would automatically be included with one order. After placing the order, I quickly realized my mistake and contacted Uber support within five minutes. They informed me that modifications could only be made by the restaurant directly.
When I called the restaurant, the person I spoke to was dismissive and unhelpful, insisting that any changes needed to be handled through Uber. However, Uber support repeatedly stated that their policy does not allow them to modify orders and that the restaurant was responsible for addressing this issue. Despite my immediate call to the restaurant, Uber claimed that the order was already prepared and ready for pickup, which I highly doubt, given the short time frame.
It’s clear to me that this restaurant acted in bad faith, taking advantage of an honest mistake without any willingness to correct it. I felt cheated, especially considering the exorbitant price of $25 for a small, basic pizza. This was my first experience with this restaurant, and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
While $25 might not be a significant amount, the principle of customer service and fair treatment is. Uber and this restaurant will run fine without my patronage, but I will never order from this establishment again, nor will I use Uber Eats in the future. I will strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant and Uber, as they clearly do not prioritize customer...
Read moreWhen I was going to high school, I was introduced to this pizza restaurant. I think it was one of the highlights of my years there.
The price: It's been a while since I've come here, but I remember a slice of pizza being $1.50 CDN and it being slightly bigger than Pizza Pizza's. A can of pop was a dollar, and the dip was $0.50 CDN.
The availability: There aren't a lot of parking spots in the front, but there are a few at the back. As it is on Lawrence Ave. E, you can take the 54 bus.
The quality: Most of the time I came to this place I was satisfied. Twice I came here and I got served either whole wheat or undercooked dough* . I believe that is why they aren't a solid competitor of the Pizza Pizza across the street; Pizza Pizza is consistent, whereas this place is a gamble at times.
The area: To the east is a mosque which is active on Fridays. Besides that, the area is fairly calm and quiet.
Additional info: There are other pizza places in the area, but I came to this one because I was recommended to try it. I doubt the price of a slice of pizza would be less than $1.50 CDN. They used to have hot sauce, barbeque sauce, salt, and pepper on the side so you could put on your pizza. This place used to sell shawarmas as well.
Overall, I gave it a 4 because even though the quality can be random, most of the time it is good. One thing that is constant is the fact that the price is lower than Pizza Pizza, making it good for people on a budget.
I hope you enjoyed my review. Drive safe and...
Read moreNOT IMPRESSEDAs"As you sow, so shall you reap" We ordered a large poutine, I asked for the size, and he showed me the box, lol. it took too long for it to get ready first of all, then when it finally came it was far from full box, very SMALL FRIES in a BIG BOX, NO CHEESE WHATSOEVER expect of few dots here and there, and only after after I had to turn it around to find and verify that there is SOME cheese, then asked him to put more, then he brought almost an empty hand of cheese. All my stars represent: a) the quantity of this place vs. b) Quantitiy of other places for $9. Only After all that did I check the rating 🤦, and realised I should have checked before bcz it was so low. If you a cheap, you will get cheap ratings and business, if you are generous you'll get generous ratings and business. Taste...
