lol do NOT order from here if you know what's good for you. Providing insight knowledge here from working in this unprofessional dump for various months and feel as though the public should be aware of the unlawful and unorganized operations of this location.
RAT?? MOUSE?? MICROWAVED FOOD??? -Anyways, they are among one of the few creatures in this establishment. Staff have to avoid storing personal belongings in specific areas. Ecolab company is called for Health & Safety Code maintenance. As only a select amount of employees actually know how to effectively prepare food/beverages to Aroma standards, expect microwaved food and runny lattes.
MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS OR EMPLOYEES -The manager, a new franchisee as of August 2017, rarely finds time to come in. When she does; there is a complete lack of appreciation towards her employees and customers. Whether you go in the morning, evening, or night, you'll notice more often than not a clear sign of understaffing as she tries to save money. If it's not cricket dead slow, it's packed with tourists and crowds of Toronto sports fans due it's location. 10 minutes to order 2 coffees, and receive it in another 10. Lol, Increments of 5 for every food or drink item you order, This women does not know how to manage a business. Would make "Canadian's love when you do that" remarks when explaining how to be fake when not prioritizing the customer in line during busy hours. Told us that a majority of customers are "air heads", and that "they will eat here if they really want". Also having her employees sign fake contracts so that we don't have to be paid over time for our labour? Ridiculous and a complete disregard to the Workplace Standard of Laws that are in place within Ontario.
Do not support a company that whole heartedly not care about their customers, staff, and is solely in operation for the money. Do yourself and your family/partner/friend a favour and walk an extra few feet down the road to much better quality of food that appropriately reflects the quality that you...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Aroma Restaurant was unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
I ordered a grilled halloumi sandwich with add-ons: red pepper, lettuce, toasted, and mixed greens. I initially asked for cucumber, tomato, and onion as well, but the server told me that the "greens include all those veggies" so I didn’t need to pay extra. Trusting her, I removed those add-ons.
When I got the sandwich, I was shocked — the mixed greens were just plain leafy greens. No cucumber, no tomato, no onion — nothing I was led to believe would be included.
I called the restaurant immediately, and they assured me I would receive either a refund or a remake of the sandwich. The next day, I went back only to be met with complete apathy. The supervisor Gurpreet told me that they couldn't do anything as the sandwich had already been made. She refused to remake or refund, instead offering to give me cucumber, onion, and tomato on the side — seriously?
When I said the sandwich was untouched and asked to return it for a refund, she repeated, “We can only give you the veggies on the side.” What am I supposed to do with raw veggies on the side of a cold sandwich?
So here’s my question to Aroma: Do you train your staff to give misleading information and then refuse to stand by your promises?
That sandwich, which should have cost less than $20, ended up being over $25 with none of the requested veggies inside. Thank you, Gurpreet, for the eye-opener.
To future customers: Be VERY careful with your orders here. Double-check everything, and don’t expect accountability if they mess up.
This isn’t just poor service — it’s dishonest and shady business practice. I won’t...
Read moreHygiene concerns: Today I visited this location. I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent experience at your lower simcoe st store.
During my visit, I observed a staff member scratching his head and then serving bakery items without washing his hands or wearing a hairnet. This raised serious hygiene concerns. Proper food handling practices are essential, and it was disappointing to see this standard not being followed.
This isn’t an isolated issue — at another downtown Toronto location near Queens Quay, I noticed a staff member wiping her nose with bare hands and immediately continuing to prepare coffee without washing or sanitizing.
I value Aroma Espresso Bar and enjoy your products, but these lapses in hygiene make me hesitant to return. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and reinforce food safety training and proper hygiene protocols with your team.
Reply2: me and my partner decided to feedback today because we found this multiple times at different locations. Even if you think we are lying why dont you check your cctv cameras and how your staff is performing. Maybe you will believe us. We love aroma espresso hence we want to suggest improvement. Once we observed at queens quay location and today at simcoe st one so we wrote all together at once. Because of multiple locations we were confused amd chosen bay street by mistake but our feedback...
