Ok, So we just finished the 3 meat plater. There was so much food, that my wife and I decided to split the tray. There was a lot of food. If you're a big eater or want leftovers, definitely order your own plater. We had the brisket (of course), the Ribs, and burnt ends. Sides were beans and Mac and cheese. Finished off with the cobbler ( out of bounds !! ). The brisket was moist and fork tender. Burnt ends were sticky and smoky. The ribs were pull off the bone tender, perfect. The beans and Mac have to be eaten with a spoon, so you don't leave any sauce behind. Mac was very creamy, noodles were not mushy, just the right doneness. It took me 2-3 spoon fulls to figure out the beans. They have a very slight bit of heat. Never had beans that had heat. Man!! That was the bomb.!!! Ok, I'm pretty sure that the peach cobbler is illegal. Anything that good has got to be illegal or immoral or ungodly. Mrs wants to go back just for the cobbler. Good idea, think I'll get me a 3 meat while we're there. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We want to go back when we can eat outside at picnic table. Dine in is limited but certainly did the job. Can't wait to go...
Read moreThis is really a 4 1/2 star review but Google won’t allow that so here we are.
I was a bit nervous knowing that the meat is smoked at their main location and brought in. But I was wrong to be nervous
I got the 3 meat sampler of pulled pork, brisket and a rib. My sides were the beans and Mac and cheese and the order included sauce and corn bread
The star of the show was the brisket. It literally was melt in your mouth and had a great smoke to it. The other two were good it I wish the rib was more seasoned.
The sides were both good but the Mac and cheese was better. The beans just tasted like canned beans doctored up. I could be wrong. I would have liked a bit more of a sharp cheddar taste to the Mac and cheese but both were good as sides
The corn bread was one of the best I’ve had. It was moist and had pieces of corn in it which was unique. I’d get this again
The one complaint was the sauce. I like variety and having to put the same sweet sauce with each proteins was a bit disappointing
For 30 bucks I left full and I’ll be back again.
Thus far the beaches is the best I’ve...
Read moreI wanted to like this place but I'm very torn.
I got the 3 meat platter (brisket, smoked chicken, sausage, potato salad and mac and cheese) and it does come with a hefty amount of food for one person. But...
The brisket has good flavors but is somehow really heavy and fatty. Bbq sauce provided does amplify the flavors and I highly recommend it be paired here.
Smoked chicken was fine. Not dry and fairly moist but really needed the bbq sauce to help.
Sausage was good, no complaints. It does have a bit of heat.
The potato salad and mac and cheese are by far the biggest standouts though. The potato salad had very strong flavors and a great consistency. The mac and cheese was nice and balanced with a mellow flavor.
It also came with a lovely cornbread (available monday and wednesday) that was a nice little pallet cleanser / buffer in-between the heaviness of the meats.
This place is definitely worth a shot trying if you enjoy BBQ meats. If I came back, I'll likely try a sandwich of theirs...
