Living in this condo for 7 years has been a relentless ordeal of dealing with a property management team that's seemingly clueless about basic resident communication and maintenance. The management team's approach to communication is like talking to a brick wallâno responses, no action, just complete radio silence on urgent maintenance issues. Be prepared to follow up 10-15 times and call multiple times just to get a response or speak to someone. When they do get around to addressing something, like an AC switch-over or simple filter change, itâs a guaranteed disaster. Expect delays, botched jobs, and a whole lot of excuses.
The front desk staff or ââsecurityââ (lol) are no better. Picture this: you walk in, and there's the front desk crew, often too busy chatting away or glued to their phones to even acknowledge your presence, or better yet, perhaps secure the building? Need help with a parcel or a question answered? Good luck! You'll be lucky to get more than a grunt or a dismissive wave. Whatâs the point in having ââfront desk securityââ if they arenât even paying attention or look up from watching their Netflix show on shift?
And the cleaning staff? Itâs like they think the condo is their personal clubhouse. Instead of cleaning, they're often found huddled in corners, chatting loudly in the halls, or taking extended breaks, all while the common areas remain a mess. The level of unprofessionalism is staggering for the cost of this building. This isnât a high school cafeteria; it's a residential building where people expectâand pay forâclean, well-maintained spaces.
There has been 3 major floods in the last 7 years â one that resulted in millions of damage across 5 entire floors and the ground/lobby level in 2019. Lots of mold is throughout the amenities floor (5th floor) due to these floods not being properly addressed.
This condoâs management and staff seem to have forgotten that they're here to provide a service. Residents are paying not just for a place to live, but for competent, professional management and upkeep. What we've got instead is a textbook example of how to completely disregard and disrespect residents.
Donât move here. Whatever you do, just donât do it. You will thank me later and also save yourself tons of...
Read moreI have been living here for 7 years and was generally satisfied (there have been issues, but bearable, plus the location is very convenient ) until this April when the new property manager, Lori Colbert, joined. Since then, my experience has deteriorated significantly.
First, my car was broken into and rifled through. After speaking with other residents, I learned that this had happened to a few others as well. When I brought this to the attention of the property manager, she dismissed it as a common occurrence, saying, âItâs happening everywhere in downtown; thereâs nothing we can do,â without considering any future precautions.
Not long after, my car received a ticket from parking enforcement while parked in my own rented and registered spot. When I approached Lori to discuss how to prevent this in the future, she lost her temper after only a few minutes of calm and polite conversation. She suddenly started mumbling, âCanât believe this is happening again,â and then yelled, âThis is between you and parking enforcement; what do you expect me to do?â Even though I was asking her to investigate how this happened (like why parking enforcement was called here), she yelled at a high pitch that she was done with me and the conversation and told me to leave immediately. I was SHOCKED as I have never met anyone that is so rude, and her assistant, who was present, also looked shocked, though she didnât seem too concerned.
I am now seriously considering moving elsewhere. I no longer feel safe or respected living here. I wouldnât recommend any condo buildings to hire someone that has anger management issues to be their...
Read moreThese security guards at this building are the most non-logical people I have encountered. They lack common sense, people skills and overall compassion. I have heard them talk about other residents in negative and rude ways in so many ways. I am very excited that my unit is up for sale and am so glad to be moving out this month.
The one particular security guard, Julie, is an absolute witch. Itâs like she has such a miserable life outside of work, that she comes into our community and is a wrecking ball full of attitude and sass. By far, one of the least approachable people that even gives nasty looks to my French Bulldog (What did Simon ever do to you, Julie?)
Julie is a great example of someone who thinks they have so much control and run entire the building, but need to kindly be reminded they are are actually a minimum wage security guard who have absolutely no say or power.
I found out at the annual meeting that Julie is actually the manager of front desk staff. This makes a lot of sense as the rest of her team follows the same traits - often an example of poor leadership.
I bought my unit pre construction so Iâve saw my fair share of incompetencies in this building but the security always makes me laugh.
I also echo what the person below said regarding management. They unfortunately are so clueless that canât even coordinate switching our furnaces back on from AC without failing. I hope the board continues to pursue getting that PM Jessika removed. Hopefully once the PMs are replaced, positive change will...
