Biagio Ristorante's Annual Once A Year Luncheon! What An Event! Once per year, the Biagio Ristorante puts on a Fantastic Free Lunch For The Homeless and Disadvantaged People of Toronto and What An Event It Was? The Food was all cooked and put on by Volunteers and Boy Was It Delicious! They also gave away many pairs of socks, mittens and other clothing items to the homeless and disadvantaged persons as well! In Addition: They also had very nice music being sung and played by a small band. I want to personally Thank my mom, Mrs. Helene Shore and her friend Audrey for Inviting ME to this Event. I also want to personally Thank Luis Biagio from the Biagio Ristorante for putting on a Fantastic Event back on Sunday, December 17, 2017. Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore Visitor Executive, Volunteer Writer For Google And Tripadvisor Websites /HPS

This is a high end place for lunch and dinner. A nice old building in T.O. Our coats had been served to the cloth rack when first arrived, then a nice window seat for us. You can see an old street lantern burning by gas outside of the window, it could be very romantic at night view. Our server/waiter were attentive, it wasn't busy by the time we visited. He was humor and tried to make us laugh all the time..It was a very pleausre dinning experience. Food presentation is nice on the plates. Food in good quality for sure. I love my dessert - Panna Cotta, the taste is so rich. Thinking to come again at my anniversary.

Visited Biagio during their Winterlicious and had a great time. Tony was an amazing server and made our time here incredibly memorable. At first, we were kind of thrown off at all the lights being on (we just weren’t used to dining at restaurants with bright lighting lol). But they took our coats, took our orders promptly and food came out shortly after. The food was warm and cooked very well. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone wanting to give it a try. Thank you so much Tony and his “side kick” for making our birthday dinner celebration an evening to remember!❤️

Will not go here again. Together with a few couples we did the Winterlicious menu. I had the mussels, veal and chocolate mousse. In my opinion the presentation was great, but then the actual taste was mediocre. Nothing that made me say "oooh now that is good". The evening was great, with average service........ until the end. We were with a few other couples and we asked for separate checks. The waiter said flat out "that's not possible, we don't do separate checks" (Which they did not say at the beginning or anywhere on the menu). We told him that we are all paying by credit and so its going to somehow have to be divided. He told us he isn't a calculator and he can't figure it out. Then he made the excuse that the bottle of wine we got couldn't be divided and so my boyfriend and I said to put it onto our tab. He finally agreed with a great amount of grumbling and informing us that "we should have told him" we wanted separate checks.... should he not haev asked us? I have been to lower end restaurants like Jack Astors and they ask you all the time. General rule of tipping in Canada is roughly 15% before tax, which is what my boyfriend and I do for average service. If we have horrible service, we do 10% and if we have great-superb service we tip 20-25%. So generally we tip 13% AFTER tax at average places because it works out till about 14.7%. After handing back my boyfriends creditcard the waiter rudely said to him in front of everyone else "You are supposed to tip 15%". EXCUSE ME? First of all, we essentially did because its 15% before tax, second of all, are you REALLY saying in front of everyone that you should be getting a better tip? We confronted him about this and he become angry and annoyed saying that people are supposed to tip 15% in Canada and he has a right to ask for it. We explained to him that it was 15% before taxes but he kept arguing. We asked to talk to the manager. Who came and was VERY defensive and said its mandatory to give a tip and his waiters deserve to be tipped well because they only get paid 9.50 an hour. I mentioned that the service was worthy of the tip we gave and that the food was only average. He actually scoffed at me and said that I was ridiculous. Then he went on to say "Do whatever you want, I don't care about a few dollars anyway". All of us were so surprised by his attitude and the horrible service at a place that is supposed to be considered fine dining. Its really not worth the food to be treated like that...

Caution! Caution! If you're looking for a place to have a delicious Italian meal without breaking the bank, steer clear of this joint! Not only will they humiliate you in front of your friends and everyone else for not tipping well, but they will also make you feel ashamed of being a student who can't afford to drop extra cash on their subpar service. The waitstaff here is the rudest I have ever encountered. They believed their duty was to teach us how to tip rather than serve us. It's outrageous! We are already under enough stress as international students living away from our families, coping with our studies and exams, and dealing with daily problems and dramas. We all wanted to celebrate our friend's birthday and eat a decent meal. But these guys ruined everything! After we finished our meal, the server marched over to our friend, who paid the bill and gave her a condescending lecture about tipping. He insisted that the minimum tip in Canada is 15% and that the restaurant's manager would punish them if they didn't receive good tips. I am absolutely disgusted by the way this establishment treats its employees. As HR students, we can offer you a free consultation on rewards and penalties for your business. We can even throw in a complimentary customer service training session because...
